Description:

You will work with other Honeywell Intelligrated personnel daily and will be required to perform tasks given safely and satisfactorily. You will represent Honeywell Intelligrated on site and will also need to follow our customers’ guidelines for general work practices outlined on site. You will continually stay in touch with your travel Coordinator and utilize your mobile scheduling tools daily.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists other technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment
  • Completes work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures
  • Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop)
  • Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment
  • Utilizes TCPiP as a troubleshooting/setup tool, understands basic networking and its terminologies: IP’s, Subnet Mask, Default Gateways, Ping, Network switches, and ports.
  • Provides preventive maintenance and repairs on distribution center equipment (e.g., pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to safety and quality procedures.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, VFD’s, networks, PC logic controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.
  • The ability to accurately describe issues and follow verbal instructions utilizing the industry terminology during bridge calls with SME’s and/or Tech Support remotely.
  • Provides resolutions to mechanical, technical/controls issues; documents all information relating to customer support issues in CMMS and Dashboard database; utilizes resources in other departments (when necessary) to expedite the resolution of conveyor related issues
  • Follows up with customers and other departments to ensure issues have been resolved
  • Participates in cleaning the conveyor systems and part cage as appropriate
  • Ability to work at heights using fall protection PPE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to lift 50 pounds individually and utilize a two-person team when applicable
  • The ability to carry required tools and tool bag (10-15lbs) regularly for extended periods and distances. Pelican cases are close to 50 pounds that will need to be taken through airports as check in
  • The ability to spend long periods of time standing and / or walking on concrete and other surfaces.
  • The ability to work above your head for extended period of time while standing, laying, or seated (e.g., 30mins). The ability to lift weights listed above your head.
  • The ability to move safely in confined spaces which may require crawling on hands and knees.
  • The ability to safely climb / descend ladders and stairs frequently.

Technical delivery and troubleshooting of Control Systems preventative and remedial maintenance.

In addition, you will provide electrical and/or mechanical technical support remotely on-site at OEM customer location as a member of our Aerospace Technical Support global network. This could be in the form of telephone, email, onsite visits, and HUB support as needed. You will also develop customer relationships to fully understand and support their technical support needs. You will drive organizational knowledge by capturing and sharing knowledge gained during the issue resolution process. In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and safety of our customers' operations by providing exceptional technical support and service. You will provide onsite technical expertise for all Honeywell Avionics systems, on Pilatus aircrafts platforms (PC-12 and PC-24) and you will capture and reuse the knowledge gained through a knowledge management process. You will report directly to our Sr Field Service Engineering Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Single point of contact/customer focal in providing technical support onsite at OEM customer facility, OEM Tech support team and Service Centers for all Honeywell avionics/electrical and/or mechanical product and system technical issues
  • Support Pilatus initial aircraft delivery to operator and will provide comprehensive new airplane customer introductions that will accelerates the operator familiarity with Honeywell products/system leading to an increase of dispatch reliability for our customers
  • Knowledgeable on all Honeywell Electrical/Avionics product/systems installed on the various platforms including working knowledge of aircraft components and systems as required by the assignment
  • Specific platform working experience on Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24 aircrafts
  • Provide remote avionics troubleshooting - Resolve complex technical issues regarding installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, operation, modification, and certification of Honeywell Avionics equipment, such as EGPWS, Flight Management Systems, Autopilot, Displays, Integrated Avionics Systems (Primus EPIC, Primus APEX), Radios, TCAS, Radar, SATCOM, etc
  • Provide direct troubleshooting assistance to the assigned OEM customer, Service Center personnel who maintain the PC-12 and Pc-24 fleet and other BGA and/or Airline Customers and responding real-time to customer technical inquiries via phone/email and on-site presence, as necessary
  • Substantial BGA and/or Air Transport and Regional (ATR) experience, and knowledge
  • Participate with Business Units to provide input regarding the planned effort to develop and deploy the support requirements for the Product, System and Services
  • Route and escalate of technical and business issues within the support organization
  • Exhibits sound independent judgment in assessing priorities, needs, and problem resolution

The salary range for this position is $84,600.00-$115,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
