Project& Technical Support Engineer

KeyResponsibilities

• Manage and execute large end-user projects in industrial heating solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Utilise process knowledge to address customer needs and provide technical expertise and support.
• Assist with sales activities by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Read and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings while using software tools like Microsoft Office, SAP, and SalesForce CRM.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and service teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget, while assisting in the production of technical proposals.

KeySkills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering) from an accredited institution.
• Strong technical background in industrial heating solutions with proven experience in sales or project management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, MS Project, and SalesForce CRM.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings, with relevant experience in technical sales within the industrial heating sector (experience within the Industrial Heating Environment / or with companies that utilized thermal heating – Furnaces/Oven/Dryers/Chemical process Industry/ etc. would be beneficial)
• Strategic and tactical mindset, demonstrating persistence and ownership in resolving customer inquiries and problems.

For this role, you will be able to work confidently using your own initiative as well as a part of a team, as well as able to work under pressure. You will be prepared to travel and stay away from home quite regularly (for periods of 4 nights or less), and happy with working at heights / in confined spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting senior engineers to achieve on-site installation, commissioning, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems, working objectively at times.

Prepare pre-visit documentation and prepare site visit reports for submission to clients.

You will drive continuous improvement initiatives in the processes related to field services and product development.

You will assist cross-functional groups to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will act as an escalation point for Field Service Specialists, Service Engineers, and other stakeholders.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of mechanical systems including industrial process experience

Advantage in experience with plumbing, pipework or pneumatics

Previous combustion experience working with process gas and oil burners is desirable

Understanding of P&IDs and electrical schematics

Gas Safe certification is desirable but not essential

A System Architect/System Engineer plays an essential role in developing complex systems by integrating various components and ensuring the system's overall functionality and efficiency. The responsibility includes ensuring that all parts of a system work together seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing the architecture of fire alarm systems.
• Requirements engineering in collaboration with offering management
• Prepare and conduct Critical Design Reviews
• Assist in product and process certification and obtain agency approvals for customer acceptance.
• Guide engineers, technicians, and associates to ensure project and product compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and requirements.
• Present project updates and results to leadership and external customers.
• Consult with vendors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project and product requirements.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and propose technical enhancements by applying advanced electrical engineering knowledge and principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field
• 5 years experience in working in a related field.
• Strong understanding of certification processes and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to consult with vendors and suppliers effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative solutions.
• Scrum / SAFe certification.
• Willingness to work with different cultures and time-zones.

Key requirements

• Manage the annual servicing of the facility including condition-based servicing & Planned Preventative Maintenance and submit full reports of the job
• Testing the Grid Entry Unit, ensuring they are safe and working well before signing off, provide hands-on training and knowledge to new users/operators
• Investigate issues to find any faults and system analysis – carry out any replacements as needed
• Engage with clients to understand issues make observations and suggest possible improvements and make recommendations
• Meet customers’ needs via remote support as part of an on-call rota

Key skills and qualifications

• Previous experience within industrial servicing or controls systems
• Solid analytical/problem solving skills and technical skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbally and written
• Gas industry experience or HND/HNC level qualifications, experience in the Biogas/Biomethane industries would be advantageous
