The purpose of this roleis to execute fixed scope on projects and further develop engineering skills.This will involve implementing defined parts of standard engineering solutions underthe close supervision of other project engineers and assisting in thedevelopment of new or non-standard solutions.
Thework is in the Oil & Gas industry.Study of project design inputs such as P&IDs, User Requirement Specification (URS), Control Narratives, Logic diagrams, Instrument Schedule, Cable Schedule, System Architecture, and IO/Tag Database.
Perform hardware visual inspection and loop check.
Installation and Configuration of servers, switches, and stations.
Establishing communications between systems.
Proactively looks to build cross-discipline experience and increase knowledge through working with other engineers.
Reports progress and technical problems and/or changes to the project lead engineer or supervising engineer.

• Bachelor'sdegree in engineering – Process Instrumentation & Control, ElectricalEngineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science.

The Purpose of the Role

An experienced Process Optimization (APC) professional with proven capability to function independently in responsible project, and services. They will take responsibility, alongside the PM, for all aspects of successful process optimization and simulation delivery including client contact, project conception, engineering, resource management, scheduling and implementation.

Key Areas ofResponsibility

• Responsibility for soundtechnical design & delivery of process optimization and simulation solutions,in alignment with the customer requirements and to the full satisfaction of theclient unlocking the targeted business value using state of the art technology.
• Identify process control &optimization improvement opportunities at various chemical manufacturing sites.Lead feasibility studies for implementing control optimization solutionsconsidering design, equipment, & operational constraints, product pricesand optimization objectives to prepare the ROI.
• Provide consulting supportand or Lead critical project activities, ensuring buy-in and acceptance fromthe customer including, but not limited to – Project Kick Off, Pre-Test &Tuning, Step Testing, Inferential development, Model Acceptance Testing,Commissioning & SAT.
• Conduct training to plantoperations & customer engineering teams on Honeywell suite of processperformance solutions.
• Identify/troubleshootprocess unit operations, software, and instrument problems. Create andimplement new strategies to improve process efficiency, process controlutilization & reliability. Support start-up activities if required.
• Act as a process controlsubject matter expert for process hazards analysis, process designmodifications, risk assessment review, alarm management, and incidentinvestigation.
• Proactively recommendpotential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering/ productdevelopment group. Regularly identify & communicate risk in the project andprepare mitigation plans.
• Shares technical knowledgewith project team, supervisor, own discipline and other disciplines. Lead orsupport improvement technology plans developed by business technology leadersand influence the product development.
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with numerous personnel in management, and engineering all of whom are greatly dependent on the APC Technical Lead’s analytical ability and judgement.

Qualification:

• MinimumBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Control. Advanced degreespreferred.
• The APC Technical Leadmust have a minimum of 8 years demonstrated experience in delivery of processoptimization solutions
• Hands on application experience implementing Real-Time / Multi-Variable Optimization solutions in multiple industries including but not limited to Refining, Petrochemical, Gas Processing, & Oil & Gas.
• Experiencedeveloping inferential / property predictors
• Expert product knowledge of Honeywell Profit Suite (minimum). Diverse experience in other process optimization solutions such as PACE, DMC+, RTO
• Programming languages (Visual Basic, CL, Fortran)
• Data Historians (Uniformance PHD, OSI PI, IP21)
• DCS/Operator Stations (Honeywell Experion & TDC3000, Yokogawa Centum V/CS/CS3000, Siemens, Foxboro, ABB, Emerson & others)
• Experience with PID/APC monitoring applications. Expert experience with PID Tuning and implementation of Advanced Regulatory Control
