As a Materials Management Manager, you will be accountable for guiding and overseeing the materials management process, from procurement to inventory control. Your primary objective will include optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to facilitate our production schedules. You will use your guidance and management skills, deep insight of inventory management systems, and a strategic approach to sourcing and procurement.

In this role, you will impact the organization by ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality products and services. Your responsibilities will include guiding and overseeing the materials management process, optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. You will use your expertise in inventory management systems and strategic sourcing to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide and oversee the materials management process, from procurement to inventory control.
  • Optimize supply chain efficiency to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Reduce costs through effective sourcing and procurement strategies.
  • Develop and implement inventory management systems and processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to comprehend production schedules and forecast demand.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Implement best practices in materials management to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Drive operational excellence and cost savings initiatives.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 6+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, and logistics, with a track record of success in optimizing supply chain processes.
  • Guide experience and the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven choices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in materials management software and ERP systems.
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing ethics.
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
