All resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).This is a remote role where you will work out of your home office as well as travel on average 2-3 days per week to customer sites in the assigned region.   • Responsible for knowledge of assigned region, coverage area, or product lines, their associated configuration installations, and represents the most direct access to all appropriate internal functions to support the customer

  • Establish and maintain contact to provide on-going technical and business support to assigned customers in designated geographic region or coverage area

  • A job at this level requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent.

  • Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy

  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum 3 years of experience leading a team within a technical field; OR Associates degree and a minimum 4 years of experience leading a team within a technical field; OR a high school diploma/GED with a minimum 6 years of experience leading a team within a technical field

  • Ability to work from home in a dedicated office space, free from distraction with a high-speed internet connection

  • Ability to travel within assigned region approximately 2-3 days per week or as business dictates

  • Support Industry 4.0 initiatives for machine connectivity and our digital transformation driving data driven decisions and efficient mfg. operations.
  • Support the effort to create standard automation Equipment/User Requirement Specifications to further drive component standardization, data standards for brilliant factories, and standard safety risk assessments.
  • Work extensively to leverage and project manage outside vendors/integrators to deliver automation solutions to our various manufacturing plants.
  • Research’s, studies, and proposes use of new technologies, processes, and industry trends, helping GEHC stay current with new automation innovations.

  • The scope of Automation Processes includes Electronics Assembly Automation, Collaborative Robots (Universal Robots, Omron, Fanuc, ABB...), Fixed automation, digital torque, Visual 2 & 3D Inspection, OEE, digital dash boards, Autonomous Intelligent Vehicles (AIV’s), Data Collection, AI, general automation technologies, integration of PLC’s, HMI’s, Motion, and supporting our Brilliant Factory initiatives by connecting the physical process to digital information.
  • Responsible for design and construction of test/process automation, instrumentation systems and development of test/process automation/AI-data science software.
  • Leads to define DFT and wing to wing test/process automation/data collection-analysis-decision making strategy for production testing process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Automation, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical degree.
