What you'll be doing:

  • Source highly-qualified opportunities for Account Executives through proactive outreach to assigned accounts, strategizing cross functionally with sales, channel, and marketing on prospecting plans
  • Work autonomously to explore data resources to research accounts, identify key players, and uncover business problems within large retail enterprises
  • Deliver compelling messages, both written and verbal, to generate interest
  • Conduct initial discovery conversations with Finance, eCommerce, and Payments Executives in targeted accounts
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and effectively articulate how Forter can partner to solve them
  • Provide insight into an organization's structure, with ability to successfully identify decision makers

What you'll need:

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills. A strong candidate is flexible with change, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and eager to advance their career in sales. This future role will ideally be based in NYC, although remote candidates may be considered.

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 6-12 months of previous business experience highly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be effective in positioning a clear, concise and well-understood message
  • Solid technical aptitude and genuine interest in tech and e-commerce solutions
  • Ability to navigate systems and tools and follow process

About the role:

This is position is based in Denver.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for 45-50 customers, managing relationships throughout the customer lifecycle, including renewals and expansions
  • Own quarterly renewals forecasting, proactively identifying risks and offering solutions to preserve net dollar retention
  • Identify and track upsell opportunities in Salesforce to increase account value and revenue
  • Lead QBRs, providing performance insights on fraud trends and industry updates for a portfolio of 45-50 customers
  • Support customers in using Forter’s products effectively through training and platform enablement

What you’ll need:

  • Desired experience: 2 years of relevant Account Management/Customer Success/Sales experience managing a book of business containing approximately 50 customers. Startup experience is a plus.
  • Commercial aptitude: Track record of growing revenue by renewing contracts and expanding accounts through upsells. Experience with an upsell or revenue quota preferred.
  • Technical aptitude: Capability to learn technical topics and be a technical operator. Not afraid to roll your sleeves up and get in the weeds while understanding complex technical concepts.
  • Relationships: Excellent communication skills both internally and externally. Proven ability to develop relationships with customer executives.

About the role:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own the end to end customer relationship, from go-live through renewal, for our largest and most strategic customers while executing a success plan for each
  • Enable a variety of client stakeholders on Forter’s portal and technology close to the account going live. After, go-live, run ongoing training and enablement for clients
  • Quarterback high impact engagements, particularly executive business reviews to communicate Forter’s value and impact to client executives
  • Procure advocacy from your clients in the form of reference calls, case studies, etc. that act as sales accelerators and turn our partners into active promoters
  • Leverage your client relationships and knowledge of Forter’s solution to generate upsell opportunities that you will collaborate with the Sales team on
  • Own the retention number for your book of business and oversee the renewal process for expiring client contracts
  • Share key insights about Forter’s product and processes internally with our Product and leadership teams to help point the company roadmap in the right direction
  • Direct client technical inquiries or troubleshooting questions to our Support team and help that team where necessary to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Maintain clean data within our internal systems to ensure that both you and Forter’s leadership team have the most accurate info possible about the book of business

What you’ll need:

  • Required Education and Experience : Bachelor's Degree and a minimum 6 years of relevant experience post-live, client-facing Customer Success experience where you managed large, strategic, and complex accounts.
  • Executive Relationships : Excellent communication skills, especially at the C-level both internally and externally. Proven ability to develop relationships with customer executives while working with stakeholders on account objectives and engagements
  • Program Management : Demonstrated excellence at success planning across a large and complex book of business. Experience building successful account plans to retain and grow your customers while showing urgency when reacting to problems.
  • Technical Aptitude : High fluency in technical topics for a non-technical operator. Not afraid to roll your sleeves up and get in the weeds while understanding complex technical concepts. Known as the best product expert on your past CS teams.
  • Expansion Discovery : Proven track record of landing and expanding large strategic accounts in your book of business. You have a nose for discovering and qualifying upsells and cross-sells. Experience with an upsell or revenue quota preferred.

  • Industry-Relevant Experience : Background in enterprise SaaS sales, program management, and SaaS startups. Strong preference for professional working experience at enterprise SaaS businesses focusing on payments, fraud, or eCommerce.

  • Quarterback high impact engagements, including regular business reviews to showcase Forter’s value to client executives and drive renewals and expansions
  • Cultivate and maintain a trusted advisor status with key customer stakeholders & executive sponsors
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and alignment with the customer’s business goals, expectations, and challenges
  • Act as the internal customer advocate
  • Secure client advocacy through reference calls, case studies, etc that act as sales accelerators and turn customers into active promoters.
  • Enable client stakeholders on Forter’s platform and technology prior to account go-live; provide ongoing training and support.
  • Share key insights on Forter’s product and processes internally with our Product and leadership teams, helping to guide the company roadmap
  • Serve as a source of industry best practices, thought leadership, and trends, most notably with customer executive stakeholders

What you’ll need:

  • Proven success driving renewals and upsells in a SaaS or subscription-based business
  • Demonstrated success leading recurring meetings with executive leadership, including regular business reviews where there is a strong emphasis on values and ROI
  • Exceptional relationship management, including a proven track record of maintaining and growing relationships at an executive level
  • Proven track record of maintaining and growing relationships with external stakeholders
  • Experience synthesizing customer and partnership goals into strategic plans, and communication of objectives to both internal and external leadership
  • Track record of cross-functional collaboration with internal Product, R&D, and/or operations teams to prioritize and translate client needs and communicate product feedback
  • Experience directly enabling and training clients on how to use your company’s tool/UX in a value-led manner
  • Motivation and adaptability to operate within a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS startup environment, and be trusted to drive initiatives autonomously that require buy-in from a wide collection of stakeholders
  • Ability to break down ambiguous and nuanced problems into concrete, manageable components and think through optimal solutions
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Openness to being hands on. Not afraid to roll your sleeves up and get in the weeds while solving complex operational problems
  • Background in payments, fraud, or finance industry is a bonus
