Key Roles and Responsibilities of Position

· Drive Flawless Launches at assigned supplier sites, collaborating with Launch STA team (Ex: Schedule A, PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), Supplier Quality Issues resolution). Escalate significant issues promptly and ‘date to green’ plan to appropriate management

· Conduct onsite evaluation visits for Priority commodities as per GPDS supplier engagement process for new programs.

· Review supplier incremental tooling work plans compliance to PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) requirements

· Drive capacity/uplift actions implementation with suppliers in line with the GCP study requirements

· Drive Supplier Process capacity issues resolution as needed – Production constraint risk mitigation working with Ford and Supplier teams and manage “date to green” plan

· Monitor supply status of 24/7 roster suppliers and Blue bar status of PPAPs beyond implementation timing

· Review supplier Capacity Analysis Reports (CAR) for compliance to uplift capacity requirements.

· Drive robust Supplier Failure Mode Avoidance through PFMEA, SCCAF, CP reviews, Manufacturing feasibility reviews and Health chart deployment as applicable.

· Drive Supplier manufacturing health chart compliance and support development of new health charts

· Drive suppliers for Special process compliance with the support of STA Technical Specialists

· Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing excellence with the assigned sites through Q1-MSA deployment, Q1 attainment/ retention, Health chart deployment, Supplier training as required.

· Drive deployment & improvement of Quality performance requirements (Q1, QR, TGW, R/1000, CPU), through Warranty Reduction, Benchmarking, Lean Manufacturing, G8D (Global 8 Disciplines) methodology, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility), Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility), etc.) as required.

· Drive new supplier site evaluations and Supplier Risk Assessment on new sourcing in support of GCST, identifying Risk Mitigation.

· Drive closure of supplier process Quality issues related to Stop Ship/Build, BSAQ (Balanced Single Agenda for Quality) projects and Field Action Stop Ship/Prevent Action

· Drive compliance to all organizational and corporate training requirements and SIM process compliance.

· Drive SIM process compliance.

• Training Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with new product and technology launches, encompassing processes, facilities, tooling, and equipment.
• Resource Coordination: Coordinate the availability of training resources, including facilities, equipment, instructors (internal and OEM), and training materials.
• Product Specialist Group (PSG) & Launch Skilled Trades Specialist (LSTS) Program Support: Support the PSG and LSTS programs by communicating roles and responsibilities, tracking essential training, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key resources.
• Launch Task Management: Implement, assess, and report on all launch training activities, ensuring adherence to Value Optimization (VO) & Production Throughput Optimization (PTO) related launch tasks and deliverables (e.g., LQOS Tasks 203, 822, 116) and the Training Plan for Every Person (TPFEP).
• Training Systems & Infrastructure: Ensure appropriate training systems are in place to support launch training activities, including classrooms, static training areas, simulators, and training vehicles.
• Budget Management: Develop, secure, and manage a multi-million dollar launch training budget, pursuing federal, state, and other funding sources to supplement plant training efforts.
• Supplier & OEM Training Oversight: Ensure training specifications are utilized by suppliers/OEMs and other providers, and that supplier technical training course materials are accessible electronically to plant personnel.
• Project Management: Utilize project management skills to manage training-related tasks, standards, timing, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Tracking & Reporting: Utilize appropriate tracking tools (e.g., GPDS, VO 203 and PTO 822 Templates, OKT8 Scorecard, TPFEP Calendar) to maintain and report on training record completion.
• Training Effectiveness Evaluation: Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of training activities through data collection, analysis, and reporting. Monitor the effectiveness and certification (if required) of internal and external learning and development facilitators.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a resource to relevant union leadership and plant management personnel in determining the best selection process for training programs.

• RFQ development: - Should interact with cross functional team (TCF process/MP&L/PD) to develop detailed RFQ for plant setup and identify capable suppliers for implementation.
• Develop and track detailed timelines for all the new/work in progress projects and escalate any delay that will affect vehicle build timeline.
• Effectively participate in equipment design and buy off to ensure equipment’s are meeting RFQ requirements.
• Ensure equipment buy off is completed with quality test procedures to ensure equipment’s are meeting necessary delivery & quality standards.
• Identify local equipment manufacturers to deliver program within budget.
• Develop clear training plan for self and for the maintenance technicians to ensure smooth ownership transfer.
• Work with individual equipment suppliers to develop critical spares list and initiate necessary process to obtain the same.
• Work with production team to develop any small tool requirement that comes up during various pre-build phases.
• Understanding of FMEA process and ability to address issues before they occur.

Launch and Localization of VP accessory parts follow GPDS/VPPDS process:

• Coordinating Local development of body Exterior/ Interior/Chassis & Electrical Genuine Ford Accessories, e.g. Spoiler, Bumper Grille, Sports bar, Roller shutter, canopy, Snorkel, Hoop steps, Alloy wheels, Spray in bed liner, Tonneau cover, Cargo Barrier, net, mat and trunk tray etc.,
• Create and manage commodity BOM locally and ensure no BOM errors.
• Create and manage Project time plan for every commodity and track to meet program Milestones.
• Take care of Material development (Plastics, Paints, Rubber etc.,) and lead all activities till AAR sign off.
• Take responsibility of part development through validation (DV/PV) and launch including problem solving for engineering issues
• Lead and participate all cross functional team and Launch meetings.
• Lead and participate color Harmony, FTN and craftsmanship reviews and ensure proper sign off for all local commodities.
• Participate & Lead build event and close all issues (AIMS) with CFT support.
• Consult with VP LVEA to clarify engineering constraints & requirements for VP new accessory design.
• Work with Local PM and ensure all deliverables can meet each milestone on time

• Technical Assistance Center (GTAC), support the technical information and provide the technical assistance for the dealer technicians.
• Provide and update case information to Technical Hotline Supervisor, for Emerging Daily Meeting – update case and escalate to all related functions.
• Reducing VORs Aging Days (Under Technical Status) – Daily VORs follow up and report to supervisor.
• Enhance SWIS usage to support the Remote Assistance process – support the technical information and provide the technical assistance for the dealer technicians.

• Lead current model quality projects for high warranty and QR reduction issues.
• Guide cross functional team with support of Master Black Belt ,using a strategically driven 6-sigma approach, to provide timely and robust resolution to high leverage ,complex ,current model supplier process quality concern.
• Ensure alignment with STA, PD and other Ford functions as appropriate to address technical and systemic opportunities.
• Identify system lessens learned from project work and cascade to Site/Core STA .Work with core STA to document the few systemic critical lessens learned into corporate document (e.g. Health Charts, Ford Manufacturing Requirement, CQI, etc.) to assure failure mode avoidance on new and existing products.
• Complete Top supplier training in strategic problem solving , Green Belt, and Quality tool as part of internal Ford training . Supplier to only be trained as part of classes for Ford employees and not incremental classes.
• Provide advice and consult on technical problem solving and data analysis to regional STA organization and other Ford functions as required.
• Coach and certify Black Belt / Verify Green Belt candidates and provide training in Quality tool to support individual competency development .
• Conduct a minimum of two formal 6-sigma training sessions each year to support organization competency development.
