Sr. Software Engineer II, ideally with a background in FinTech. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain the platform that supports the money movement of our industry leading payment engine moving hundreds of millions everyday.

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years of experience in web application development
• Experience in designing, developing and supporting scalable, performant and reliable web applications and distributed systems
• Seasoned in techniques such TDD and BDD
• Proficient working with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
• Understanding of relational databases
• Firm grasp of OTEL and distributed tracing
• Strong understanding of object-oriented fundamentals
• Great understanding of the other disciplines in the cross functional team: QAs, Product, and SREs
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams including product and support
• Fluent in English, as it is the company’s working language

The Opportunity:

This US based role, will report to the Chief Compliance Officer, Flywire Corporation. This will be a varied role leading our Compliance team, responsible for Flywire Global Corp., Flywire’s licensed U.S. entity. Experience in leading teams, quickly understanding new ideas and concepts, knowledge of US and global payments compliance, and a background in financial crimes compliance with strong global knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and other compliance regulations is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Flywire Global Corp’s Anti-Financial Crimes Compliance Program including: Licensing and Exam Management, NMLS, Know Your Customer (KYC), Government Sanctions, Program Governance, AML Training, Regulatory Reporting, and Anti-Fraud.
• Work on various projects and miscellaneous issues, such as bank and partner due diligence questionnaires as needed.
• Liaise with business partners and compliance leadership on higher risk cases as needed
• Proactively enhance compliance processes allowing Flywire to be compliant while managing risk
• Create and/or edit Policies and Procedures for areas of responsibility
• Advise business and compliance colleagues on financial crimes compliance and licensing requirements as needed
  

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or 10+ years of experience in financial services compliance, with a focus on Financial Crimes Compliance
• Mastery of USA AML/CTF Standards (i.e. BSA / Patriot Act)
• Strong understanding of U.S. and global licensing regulations
• Oversight and administration of the U.S. State Regulators NMLS database for Flywire Global Corp
• Proven experience handling Regulatory, Audit and Independent Review examination requests
• Knowledge of global payments regulatory frameworks and/or regulation

Senior Sales Engineer, Education to join our Education Team, supporting the Eastern Time Zone, with a focus in Ontario and the northeastern United States.

This role is a critical part of our sales process, bridging the gap between our cutting-edge technology and the specific needs of higher education institutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of university architecture, a strong technical background, and excellent communication skills to effectively articulate the value of our software to technical and non-technical audiences. Success in this role depends as much on building trust and long-term relationships as on technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Senior Level Engagement: Responsible for senior coverage of primary IT Institutional stakeholders (CTO, CIO, IT Director, etc.), which includes developing trusted advisor relationships that go beyond technical discussions to understanding institutional goals and challenges.
• Pre-Sales Technical Support: Serve as the primary technical consultant for the sales team, providing collaboration and expert guidance during the entire sales cycle - from initial discovery of unmet needs to building alignment across stakeholders, and helping position solutions that support their institutional strategy.

What we are looking for:

  • Knowledge of the Higher Education space in general and have worked with EDU systems such as PeopleSoft, Banner, Colleague, or Workday
  • Proven track record of successfully guiding technical discussions and closing complex software sales.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose technical challenges and propose effective solutions.

• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Direct experience working within a university IT department or technical consulting for EDU and/or technical sales within the EDU sector.
  • Hands-on experience with specific higher education platforms (e.g., Ellucian Banner, Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Workday Student).
  • Knowledge of student data security and privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA).

The Opportunity:
This individual will be responsible for working directly with customers and various teams on daily support and operations tasks. This role will include supporting Flywire SFS, eStore, and TPI products for the clients in US / Canada.

• Manage and complete tickets from customers and other departments related to Flywire’s platforms, ensuring the highest quality standards are met while adhering to the SLA requirements
• Able to communicate clearly, concisely, and with confidence any complex queries with customers via email or over the phone
• Understand various components of our products including how they function together and the workflow impact to customers
• Work hands-on with various web-based products and command-line tools in order to research and provide answers for various research and support issues
• Logically assess the issue, propose solutions to customers and work with development on enhancements for the product
• Serve as a highly effective mediator between customers and development when the situation arises
• Research requests and issues thoroughly and understand how to most effectively work with development on questions that require escalation
• Lean into our business domain and needs as well as our company vision, mission and strategy to deliver on our short and long term goals

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

• 3-5 years of experience in technical support engineering
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams including product and engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in Technical Support skills, like MYSQL, UNIX, HTML, Regular Expressions, and Shell Scripting
• Highly motivated and talented troubleshooter. Someone that goes above and beyond utilizing all resources available to identify the problem and provide accurate explanations and proposed solutions
• Able to translate highly complex issues to various levels of understanding based on the customer’s technical level
• Proficient in leveraging AI tools and crafting effective prompts to review, analyze, and refine customer communications.
• Detail oriented and able to multitask and eagerness to learn new technologies and tools
• Experience in higher education or student financial support is a major plus - someone who can understand the student financial services for the overall higher education
• Experience in FinTech or the payment industry will be appreciated
• Fluent in English, as it is the company’s working language

: B.S. degree in a related Science & Engineering field, and having Master’s in respective field is a plus

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000-$90,000 plus restricted stock units and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, position level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and several other factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training.
