Job Summary

Reporting to thethewill be responsible for directing the manufacturing operations in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring volume, quality and cost goals are met.


Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Manages the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and in charge of the line’s success.
  • Evaluates daily/regularly plant operating performance and advises on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
  • Guide a team of professionals (e.g. engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery and acknowledge requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and explore operational problems and advise on their resolution. Guide regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational comprehension and capability.
  • Solicits and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and contribute with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.
  • Provides technical and operational advice to project teams.
  • May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
  • Engage in training and coaching of junior operators.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
  • Assist in department budget planning and management of department expenses.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing team members on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Here is some of what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years in automation, mechanical maintenance experience
  • 3 year experience managing individual contributors/large team
  • 3 years in electronic manufacturing field
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Ensures compliance of standards
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excel experience.

  • Reviews quality reports.
  • Performs process and sub factory audits.
  • Ensures procedures are followed and may develop procedures for the quality assurance inspectionoperation.
  • Provides immediate supervision and guidance to inspectors, checking work at frequentintervals.
  • Frequently interacts with outside customers, vendors and functional peer groups at various management levels and serves as a liaison between customer and the division regarding quality issues.
  • Directs daily shift activities.
  • Confers with management and production to define and hold up quality goals.
  • Trains shift guidance to inspectors in quality processes.
  • Holds up engineering and other functionalities in correcting employee errors

  • Bachelor’s degree of related experience
  • 6+ years of experience in Supervision and Quality
  • MicroStrategy Data Extraction experience
  • System Administration Skilled
  • Experience in Metrology (Preferred)

What a typical day looks like:

  • Plan, prioritize, and manage IT support and maintenance activities to ensure that organization’s information systems function reliably and that IT resources are used effectively.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware and software products that will enhance the capabilities of the organization’s information systems.
  • Liaise with functional or operational area managers to understand their current and future information needs and determine how information systems should be installed, configured, and maintained to best meet these needs.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of information systems professionals and support staff to ensure that the organization’s information systems are supported effectively and within budget.
  • Direct daily department activities in order to maximize system utilization and support business needs as it pertains to a site’s IT infrastructure. Examples include IMAC, VMAC, and responding to Help Desk tickets.
  • This IT infrastructure includes (but is not limited to) LAN, WAN, telephony, server administration, desktop support, printers and barcode scanners.
  • Manages the relationship with the service providers of any outsourced infrastructure component. This includes managing the service level agreement, change management, maintaining a thorough understanding of cost issues including participating in negotiation of new cost schedules.
  • Manage business continuity and recovery of company’s information systems, including needs analysis, design, plan development, implementation and documentation.
  • Select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Provide technical &/or project leadership for mid to large-scale projects.
  • Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems requiring creative solutions.
  • Frequently deal with inter-organizational and external contacts

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Typically requires 6 years of related experience, 2 of which are in a lead or supervisory role
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of functional concepts and a solid understanding of Flex policies and procedures.
  • Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.
  • Previous experience providing communication and support to high level executives.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
