What a typical day looks like:

  • Provide technical support to the LVS sales team and clients throughout the enquiry process.
  • Be able to engage with clients/consultants to ensure we are in control of the design process and influence Plans and Specifications.
  • Positive engagement in developing company LVS products and to facilitate sales execution.
  • To view and approve drawings including assisting with the design / development and submittals of technical aspects of specifications throughout the enquiry stage.
  • Minimising exposure and risk throughout the sales process by assisting the LVS sales team completing CDEs and other required technical documentation.
  • Assist with the coordination of key project proposals during the handover process to operations.
  • To build and maintain effective working relationships with the client, colleagues and any other associated third parties.
  • To help provide technical direction in product design to drive innovation of the Anord Mardix solutions.
  • Proactive risk identification and recognise system deficiencies and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Reviews customer requirements, identifies and communicates potential issues and provides recommendations that will meet both the capabilities of Anord Mardix and the specifications of the customer.
  • Prepares and maintains required documentation.
  • To assist with all technical aspects of LVS enquiries as required.
  • Effectively apply the company’s methodology and enforce company standards.
  • Ensuring effective, timely & appropriate solutions are developed, communicated & implemented to fulfil the business requirement, ensuring all technical activities are coordinated in a timely manner to avoid delays during the enquiry stage.
  • To promote, always develop and extend any business of the Company and in all respects conform to and comply with the proper and reasonable directions and regulations of the Company.
  • To report to the Sales Operations Manager – LVS.

  • Tours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Define requirements for safety clothing and devices, and designs, builds, and installs or directs installation of safety devices on machinery.
  • Conducts or coordinates safety training to educate workers about emergency acknowledge, safety policies, laws and practices.
  • Investigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence and prepares accident reports.
  • Conducts air quality tests for presence of harmful gases and vapors.
  • In charge of identifying health and safety hazards and recommending corrective actions.
  • Serves as internal consultant to business units on ergonomics, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene and fire and chemical safety matters.
  • Audits business units.
  • Interfaces with outside vendors, contractors and engineers regarding facilities, chemicals and other workplace health and safety related matters.
  • Compiles and submits safety reports.
  • Administers workers compensation, OSHA 2000 log and return to work program.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent
  • Some experience in EH&S or related engineer position.

Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager – LVS,the Junior Electrical Design Engineer role will be part of anexcellent engineer team, whose members are strong communicators, ambitious & innovative.You willwork across multiple disciplines to get a full overview of the life cycle of the product along with the technical acumen required for the role. You will also liaise with Project Managers and the Electrical Design Manager, supporting on the development of the library of standard drawings.


What a typical day looks like:

  • You will create Electrical designs of switchboards & associated products ready for Sales / production purposes
  • Liaising with the sales team to understand client specifications and requirements
  • Ensuring drawings issued are controlled, accurate and easy to follow
  • Aiding Sales to resolve problems with new & existing product designs
  • Liaising with 2D & 3D Designers to ensure library is accurate
  • Utilising AutoCAD to add tags to existing drawings

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Relevant experience in a switchgear production environment (electrical) will be considered in lieu of a third level qualification
  • Have a solid understanding of electricity fundamentals and electrical circuit design
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Have a methodical approach to problem solving
  • Understanding of electrical engineering drawings such as single line diagrams and schematics is advantageous
