Minimum Qualifications

Research Scientist, Robotics Systems Responsibilities
  • Conduct research advancing novel robotics design and development, including new components and/or processes that guide toward production-ready systems.

  • Design and Development: research mechanical and electrical design and analysis problems for robotics structure, new sensors, mechanisms, power transmissions, communication hardware/firmware and systems integration while balancing ergonomics, performance, reliability.
  • Research and design planning and control algorithms for executing actions to motors integrating sensors and actuations, frequently interacting with the Large Model (VLM/VLA) AI team and Mechatronics team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ year(s) of work experience in a university, industry, or government lab with emphasis on AI Research in speech recognition, speech synthesis, natural language understanding, machine learning, deep learning, or related fields.
  • Experience with development and implementation of speech recognition algorithm/ systems and model training, including LLMs.
  • Experience working with machine learning libraries like Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc.
  • Familiar with scripting languages such as Python and shell scripts.
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
