Responsibilities:

· Work with our team in our Cork office (remote applicants will not be considered)

· Generating a high volume of leads and creating sales opportunities

· Proactively seek and qualify new business opportunities in the market via calls and email

· Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services

· Build long-term trusting relationships with clients

· Set up meetings between prospects and Account Managers

· Report to the Business Development Manager

· Stay up-to-date with F5 products/services and industry trends

Requirements:

• Previous business development work experience or college degree is great but not essential.

• Fluent written and verbal comminution skills in

Description:

What You’ll Do

  • Create and execute territory sales plans to exceed sales targets
  • Generate sales pipeline throughself-sourcing/hunting,
  • Manage full sales cycle of F5 NGINX sales opportunities including qualifying leads, presenting F5 NGINX solutions independently and at times, jointly with F5 and/or channel technical resources, commercial negotiation with prospects, coordinating opportunity management with distributors and channel partners up till sales opportunity closure.
  • Work closely with our focus partners / resellers to leverage our partner network and build pipeline through partner-initiated opportunities
  • Engage effectively with different buying personas including DevOps, NetOps, SecOps, App Dev and CXO level executives
  • Assume full responsibility for accurate sales forecasting on SFDC by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of sales cycles from initial contact through the procurement process
  • Administrative duties include but not limited to booking orders, coordinating the process of reviewing legal agreements and monitoring salesforce reviews
  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
  • Communicate the NGINX and F5 value proposition to customers and partners.
  • Articulate the F5 NGNIX product strategy, messaging and positioning F5 NGINX’s value proposition and solutions for customer business objectives.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 5+ years proven experience in high tech solution sales (with 2+ years of digital/inside sales experience)
  • Experience with full cycle cloud-based subscription sales (SaaS)
  • Experience with container orchestration solutions and modern application sales (eg: OpenShift, Kubernetes, API Communications)
  • Experience with MEDDPIC, Challenger or SPIN sales methodologies
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo and High Velocity System
  • Independent, resourceful and has a growth mindset.
  • Proficiency in the use of corporate productivity tools (email, chat, web presentation), with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sales experience with application services and networking solutions architecture (application firewalls, load balancers, DNS, SSL etc) is a plus
  • Experience working across multiple regions in APCJ is a plus
  • Experience working on multi-cloud design a plus
  • Hands-on NGINX experience a plus
  • Relevant certifications a plus
  • Familiarity/experiencewith F5 NGINXor similarindustry solutiona plus

NGINX Gateway Fabric is an open-source project that implements the Gateway API using NGINX as its data plane. Our project is delivered as a Docker container running in a Kubernetes cluster and provides an HTTP, TCP/UDP load balancer, reverse proxy, or API Gateway for Kubernetes applications. We operate entirely in the open, with a public sprint board, roadmap, meetings, and open-source code.

Responsibilities:

Research, Design, develop, and maintain enhancements for NGINX Gateway Fabric. Participate in asynchronous code reviews, testing, and documentation efforts to ensure reliability and usabilit

Document software designs via functional specifications and other design document

Proactively and openly communicate status, plan-of-action, and resolution of issues.

Work within a Kubernetes-based ecosystem, Gateway API, and improve its integration with NGINX.

Work closely with senior engineers, and Architects to refine architectural decision.

Conduct presentations and demos internally and externally as needed.

Required Skills

7+ years of experience with a Computer Science background or equivalent professional experience.

Strong proficiency in Go, Docker, and Kubernetes, with hands-on experience developing Kubernetes controllers operators.

An understanding of Kubernetes internals, including API server interactions, controllers, reconciliation loops, and CRDs.

Knowledge of Kubernetes networking concepts, including Ingress, Gateway API, Service Mesh, and traffic rout mechanisms.

Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including HTTP, gRPC, TCP, and UDP, and their role in Kubernetes-based traffic manageme

Strong knowledge of networking policies, such as rate limiting, circuit breaking, and access control.

Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Fluentd for analyzing application behavior. Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.

Expertise in Kubernetes cloud environments.

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and testable code, with experience in unit and functional tes Experience with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines, including writing and maintaining YAML-based automation and deployment configuration.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document architecture, APIs, and operational workflow.

Experience contributing to open-source Kubernetes projects is good to have.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or advanced degree; and/or equivalent work experience.

7+ years of experience in relevant roles.
