Your key responsibilities

You’ll spend your time supporting client engagements by reviewing staff work product, coordinating with clients and internal team members, managing deadlines, and tracking engagement economics. In this role, you can expect to be prioritizing and handling a wide range of constantly evolving responsibilities.

  • A background in tax compliance and accounting for income tax and a broad understanding of US income taxation
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and data mining tools
  • The ability to prioritize when working on multiple projects, and the confidence to engage and integrate directly into our clients’ teams
  • Fluency in Japanese

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business, math, quantitative analysis, data or business analytics, information systems, engineering, public administration, international studies, statistics, supply chain, computer science AND one of the following certifications: Enrolled Agent (if not eligible to sit for the CPA or Bar), Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute, American Society of Appraisers Business Valuation Certification, Certified Management Accountant, or American Society of Appraisers (Accredited Senior Appraiser); or
  • At minimum a bachelor’s degree in one of the fields outlined above and a plan to obtain one of the above designations within 12 months of joining the practice; and

You’ll spend your time supporting client engagements by reviewing staff work product, coordinating with clients and internal team members, managing deadlines, and tracking engagement economics. You’ll also be tasked with identifying and resolving tax technical issues, as well as sharing insights that will improve our processes and overall efficiency. In this role, you can expect to be prioritizing and handling a wide range of constantly evolving responsibilities.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law and approximately three years of related work experience.
  • Progress toward (or completion of) a valid CPA certification or licensed attorney status
  • A background in tax compliance and accounting for income tax and a broad understanding of US income taxation
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and data mining tools
  • The ability to prioritize when working on multiple projects, and the confidence to engage and integrate directly into our clients’ teams
  • Fluency in Japanese
  • Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $71,000 to $117,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $85,100 to $133,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
