About the job

The Digital Business Advisory Practice works with clients in creating value and delivering world-class Digital, Data & IT capabilities to support business needs. Working closely with our industry groups and leveraging the EY brand as independent, trusted advisors, we provide our high-profile clients with a range of services including:

Regular travel, locally and internationally, may be required as part of the day-to-day client work, and at times work from the client site or other EY offices. Your Key Responsibilities

As a Data Architecture Consultant, you will be responsible for defining and designing robust data solutions that support business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect scalable data platforms, and ensure data integrity and accessibility.

Your role will encompass the full spectrum of data architecture, including:

  • Data Platform, Architecture & Integration: Design enterprise data & integration reference architecture to decouple compute and storage systems and enable both real-time and batch data flows.
  • Data Governance, Security and Quality & Lineage: Design data governance framework defining data roles (data owners, stewards, custodians), policies (definitions, classification, retention), and processes; implement data catalogue, lineage, and business glossary. You are also able to design data quality controls and remediation (profiling, rules, issue management) across golden sources and downstream models.
  • Analytics & BI Enablement: With a strong experience in Business Intelligence solution, you will help define standards for semantic models to unlock insights and data-driven decision-making at the service of the Business

This is a strategic position that requires both technical depth and consultative acumen to guide stakeholders through complex data challenges and deliver high-impact solutions.

Skills and Attributes for Success

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on multiple projects and leadership skills to engage with diverse stakeholders

  • Expertise in data engineering tools and frameworks (ETL/ELT, data transformation).
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques and schema design.
  • Proficiency in business analysis and requirement mapping.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Understanding of data quality principles and governance.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms and infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor's degree ideally in technology (Business with MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems).
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience.
  • Proven track record of successful design and delivery of large-scale data solutions.
  • Substantial experience in technology delivery roles at a consulting/professional services company, cloud or digital solutions provider, or customer environment in Enterprise solutions.
  • Experience using frameworks/methodologies to assess and recommend migration approaches and digital platform options.
  • Experience in IT strategy and Enterprise Architecture, Agile, Cloud computing, and Integration Architecture most recently in the context of digital.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for senior audiences.
  • Confidence to lead meetings with client sponsors, management, and individual contributors.

Ideally, you will also have

  • Results orientated and performance-driven approach.
  • Relevant certifications in Data technologies, including cloud Data Platform.
  • Relevant Enterprise Architecture Certifications in TOGAF, ITIL, or similar would be advantageous.
  • Engagement with Enterprise customers across multiple countries and industries in a broader region responsibility.

The Digital Business Advisory Practice works with clients in creating value and delivering world-class Digital, Data & IT capabilities to support business needs. Working closely with our industry groups and leveraging the EY brand as independent, trusted advisors, we provide our high-profile clients with a range of services including:

  • Digital, Data & IT Strategy and Sourcing Advisory.
  • Operating Model Design, Functions Transformation & Governance.
  • Enterprise Architecture Services.
  • Digital Transformation (including Robotics (RPA), Cloud, Analytics, Cyber, Mobility, Social Media, Internet of Things, etc.).
  • Digital Portfolio, Program and Project Management.

Regular travel, locally and internationally, may be required as part of the day-to-day client work, and at times work from the client site or other EY offices. Your Key Responsibilities

As a Data Architecture Consultant, you will be responsible for defining and designing robust data solutions that support business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect scalable data platforms, and ensure data integrity and accessibility.

Your role will encompass the full spectrum of data architecture, including:

  • Data Platform, Architecture & Integration: Design enterprise data & integration reference architecture to decouple compute and storage systems and enable both real-time and batch data flows.
  • Data Governance, Security and Quality & Lineage: Design data governance framework defining data roles (data owners, stewards, custodians), policies (definitions, classification, retention), and processes; implement data catalogue, lineage, and business glossary. You are also able to design data quality controls and remediation (profiling, rules, issue management) across golden sources and downstream models.
  • Analytics & BI Enablement: With a strong experience in Business Intelligence solution, you will help define standards for semantic models to unlock insights and data-driven decision-making at the service of the Business

This is a strategic position that requires both technical depth and consultative acumen to guide stakeholders through complex data challenges and deliver high-impact solutions.

Skills and Attributes for Success

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on multiple projects and leadership skills to engage with diverse stakeholders

  • Expertise in data engineering tools and frameworks (ETL/ELT, data transformation).
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques and schema design.
  • Proficiency in business analysis and requirement mapping.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Understanding of data quality principles and governance.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms and infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor's degree ideally in technology (Business with MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems).
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience.
  • Proven track record of successful design and delivery of large-scale data solutions.
  • Substantial experience in technology delivery roles at a consulting/professional services company, cloud or digital solutions provider, or customer environment in Enterprise solutions.
  • Experience using frameworks/methodologies to assess and recommend migration approaches and digital platform options.
  • Experience in IT strategy and Enterprise Architecture, Agile, Cloud computing, and Integration Architecture most recently in the context of digital.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for senior audiences.
  • Confidence to lead meetings with client sponsors, management, and individual contributors.

Ideally, you will also have

  • Results orientated and performance-driven approach.
  • Relevant certifications in Data technologies, including cloud Data Platform.
  • Relevant Enterprise Architecture Certifications in TOGAF, ITIL, or similar would be advantageous.
  • Engagement with Enterprise customers across multiple countries and industries in a broader region responsibility.
