Focus on evaluating and comparing the relative quality and risks associated with various securities, including asset-backed securities (ABS), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), and collateralized loan obligations (CLO). Conduct loan document review and data reviews on loan files, recalculating fields on data tapes and run exception reports to tie out with clients. Create collateral stratification tables used for assessing loan pool characteristics. Perform cash flow modeling on deals to tie out to clients’ loan amortization tables and bond analytics. Draft Engagement Letters, Proposals and Agreed upon Procedures Reports which detail due diligence, cash flow modeling and deal structuring.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday,40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, must have a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.

Must have 4 years of Structured Finance transaction experience in the Financial Services industry.

Must have 4 years of experience in banking/capital markets at a commercial bank or comparable experience working as a consultant in a financial services company.

Must have 4 years of combined experience in at least 2 of the following requirement:
- Transaction issuance knowledge of fixed income products including CLO, ABS, RMBS, or CMBS and related real estate finance experience;
- Risk management, front office, or securitization related activities within Banking Capital Markets; or
- Structured Finance cash flow modeling experience

Must have at least 3 years of experience in asset file review, collateral stratification/analysis, bond analytics, securitization offering document review and/or other related securitization compliance reviews and at least 1 year of experience in the preparation of Agreed-Upon Procedures reports.

Must have 2 years of experience supervising and managing a team of consulting professionals.

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, Financial Engineering, Statistics or related field and a minimum of six years related work experience; or a graduate degree in the above fields, Tax or Law and approximately more than five years of related work experience
  • Strong quantitative skills with an emphasis on accounting and corporate finance
  • Broad exposure to federal income taxation, including partnership taxation
  • Expert MS Excel skills with the ability to review complex financial models and build flexible calculations from scratch
  • Continuous learning mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including prior experience developing team members and interacting with clients or executive-level management
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work independently in a deal-driven environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $141,900 to $260,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $170,300 to $295,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Commercial – as part of the team you will regularly advise businesses on valuations issues with regards to acquisition or divestitures and provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings.
  • Regulatory and Accounting –you will work with management as part of an acquisition process to understand how the value of acquired intangible and financial assets will impact accounting requirements.
  • Taxation – you will regularly undertake valuations for fiscal purposes in the US market and advise clients on all aspects of US tax valuation issues.
  • Intangible Assets – within the team you would specialize in the valuation of Intangible assets such as trademarks, brand names, core deposit intangibles, customer relationships, banking and other licenses, patents, technology and know-how.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and at least 5 years of related business valuation work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of related work experience.
  • Previous Business Valuation experience.
  • Financial modelling skills including experience building models from scratch.
  • Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects.
  • You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

Ideally, you will have

  • Previous valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 Firm.
  • Financial modelling experience.
  • Achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA.
  • ASA/AM designations are a plus with the expectation of one completed designation within a given timeframe.
  • Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
