As an Intern in Audit you will play a vital role in supporting our audit consulting teams.

Your responsibilities will also include

• Providing support to audit consultants by analyzing the documents received
• Verification of the accuracy of the completed information
• Validating documents received from audit team and summarizing them for audit verification
• You will be using Excel extensively in your work, including common functions such as SUMIF, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, filters, pivot tables, and conditional formatting
• Learning and using other internal tools to manage audit activities effectively

You’ll work as part of high-performing team on a broad range of clients and assignments. You’ll be encouraged and expected to take accountability and make an impact.

Your key responsibilities

• Preparation of documentation and calculations for quarterly and annual tax compliance (corporate income tax, withholding, capital gains);
• Be involved in other tax audits and other support tasks, according to the request;
• Participation in developing, implementing the processes for new clients

Skills and attributes for success

• Basic knowledge of Romanian and international regulations of the direct taxes
• Bachelor/Master Degree in Economics or Law
• Previous working experience of minimum 1 year in the industry or tax consulting/accounting firms would be a plus
• Fluent knowledge of English language

Your key responsibilities

• Checks and validates that the entries in the local accounting system are in line with the applicable reporting requirements;
• Review the annual statutory financial statements and the half yearly accounting reports;
• Perform tax compliance work;
• Timely identify possible accounting and tax compliance issues and communicate these to the manager in charge;
• Coordinate and supervise the accounting assistant(s) and provide on the job guidance and constant feedback on the accounting and tax work. (substantive support, delegation of tasks)

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong attention to detail and an eye for consistency
• A deep understanding of accounting requirements, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing accounting reporting.

• +2 years of experience as Accountant in bookkeeping
• English language – medium/advanced level
