Strong business communication and presentation skills will be essential as you develop high-quality deliverables that clearly convey insights and recommendations to our clients.

This role is based inTāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).

In this role, you will support the delivery of high-impact projects within the People Consulting team, focusing onand
transformationinitiatives for clients.

  • Lead the implementation of organisational change strategies, including change management planning, communications , and stakeholder engagement , using proven tools and methodologies.
  • Design and facilitate training , awareness, and engagement activities, while assessing change readiness and impact through data analysis and consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute people-focused insights and adapt EY approaches to align with the client's evolving needs across a range of industries.

Ngā Pūkenga | Skills and attributes for success

  • Proven experience supporting or leading organisation-wide change initiatives, with knowledge of change management theory, organisational culture, design, restructuring, and broader transformation efforts. Must be a New Zealand citizen or resident .
  • A background in consulting (minimum 3 years) or relevant experience in HR, organisational development, or people-related functions such as recruitment, L&D, employee relations, or operating model design.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to coach and partner with clients throughout the change process.

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below:

  • Experience working in large or matrix organisations, with exposure to HR systems or technologies. A background or interest in organisational psychology, development, or culture change is advantageous. Have a holistic view on people, process & tech.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with diverse stakeholders and clearly explain complex ideas to varied audiences.
  • A creative, adaptable, and flexible mindset, with a passion for generating innovative ideas and responding confidently to changing client environments. Resilience and able to multitask.

Description:

As our Workforce Planner you’ll be responsible for connecting people to the experiences which enrich the lives and careers of our Assurance professionals. Working as part of a broader Oceania resource team, you will be responsible for applying consistent resource planning across a range of engagements for our New Zealand client practice and will work closely with the business to ensure all staffing needs are met. You will be overseeing client portfolio of our resources across our Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington offices.

Your key responsibilities

  • Stakeholder and Relationship management – responsible for managing key relationships within and across Assurance.
  • Opportunity and Demand – work with engagement managers to actively allocate resources, challenge hours, timing and flexibility of engagements to find suitable resources.
  • Resource management – actively managing our available resources, understanding their capability and proactively identifying opportunities and resolving resourcing conflicts.
  • Resource optimisation – highlighting capability across the team and wider Assurance to optimise performance and meeting engagement metrics.
  • Developing and analysing resource management reports – engagement planning trends, utilisation, production.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in resourcing processes and reporting.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience with resource management and/or supply and demand management within professional services.
  • Ability to understand the business and learn the unique skills, needs and goals of our people.
  • Ability to find the right opportunities and connections to create diverse, inclusive and high-performing teams.
  • Able to optimise business performance by advocating solutions, providing insights and managing expectations in pursuit of increasing utilisation and employee engagement.
  • Experience in using MS Excel and information/data analysis with a high degree of accuracy.
