The Digital Business Advisory Practice works with clients in creating value and delivering world-class Digital, Data & IT capabilities to support business needs. Your Key Responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll spend most of your time managing client engagement teams, working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and managing business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts.

  • Drive continued growth and profitability for EY, by identifying and capitalizing on business development opportunities in existing and potential clients for own and other areas of the firm.
  • Leading practice development and engagement delivery.
  • The individual should be adept at people development and management.
  • Build long-term relationships with key client decision-makers which are based on mutual respect, act as a trusted advisor to key decision-makers.
  • Engage customers to gain trusted-advisor status with the CIO / CTO / CDO and other CXO-level executives of large enterprises and offer innovative services around Digital, Enterprise Application Landscape Architecture and Optimization, Infrastructure Reengineering and overall optimization and enhanced realization of ROI on Digital, Data & IT investments.
  • Be a thought leader on Enterprise IT adoption/strategies and on the adoption of state-of-the-art technology trends and emerging design patterns. Should be able to represent the firm in leading conferences/forums on Information Technology issues and trends.
  • Anticipate clients’ Technology needs well beyond current engagements, adding value to the clients’ long-term business.
  • Identify industry issues faced by key accounts and adapt offerings with relevant industry content to meet client needs.
  • Consult with clients making investment decisions on Digital, Data & Information Technology in transforming their organisations.
  • Drive Digital, Data & IT projects with clients while managing the budget, timelines, and quality of end deliverables.
  • Provide clients with advice on effective cost management within the Digital, Data & IT function and rationalize application portfolios.
  • Develop and execute strategies, architectures, and roadmaps to provide the client with need-based, value-adding, and cost-effective Digital solutions.
  • Define a cross-functional view of an organization’s digital capabilities.
  • Help clients gain insight into their digital maturity and quantify digital benefits to the enterprise.
  • Design client digital uplift programs.
  • Develop client digital journeys. Establish the why, the what and the how of making the transition. Help establish the business case. Document the overall digital transformation roadmap for change.
  • Architect and design digital products and solutions.
  • Team with various EY groups with digital, data, cyber, and cloud capabilities to pursue and deliver end-to-end digital engagements and enable solutions that will bring our client’s digital vision and strategy to life.

Ideally, you will also have

  • Results orientated and performance-driven approach.
  • Relevant Enterprise Architecture Certifications in TOGAF, ITIL, or similar.
  • Relevant digital, governance, or cyber certifications will be advantageous.
  • Experience in governance and people/skills/culture change management associated with a typical digital transformation project.
  • Experience in leading a team of 10 people or multiple smaller teams of people.

As an Enterprise Architect (Senior Manager) you will be helping our clients to solve their business problems and to take advantage of opportunities in an ever-changing marketplace. Your key responsibilities

    • Privileged access management solutions including design or implementation of PAM technologies (such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, HashiCorp);
    • Role-based access control including design and development of user access roles.
    • Experience in secret management solutions including understanding of DevOps (Ansible, Jenkins, Gitlab, Kubernetes, terraforms) and cloud (Azure, AWS and GCP) solutions sets.
    • Ability in Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems
    • Exposure to the IGA solutions (SailPoint or Saviynt)
    • Exposure to the scripting and programming languages (PowerShell, Java, C#) and Microsoft office (word and PowerPoint, Visio)
  • An understanding of access control concepts including directory services, SAML, LDAP, PKI
  • Experience in process definition, workflow design, and process mapping.
  • A valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel internationally and a willingness to travel; travel is estimated at 40-60%

Ideally, you’d also have

  • Strong presentation and communication skills and ability to speak with director and VP levels.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, CIPT, CIPM, CRISC or other relevant certification desired; non-certified hires are required to become certified within 1 year from the date of hire.

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $104,800 to $192,200. Skills and attributes for success

  • A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable. Suitable fields of study include Engineering, Data Science or Mathematics, Physics, Property and Construction, Commerce, or Finance.
  • Training or certification qualifications in asset management (e.g. CAAM, CPAM, CAMA, or similar) will be highly regarded.
  • Prior experience in asset management or capital planning roles, or property, business or plant and equipment strategy positions is favoured but not essential, as is a familiarity with IVS, AMAF or ISO 55000 suite of standards.

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in advising clients on how to design, assess, and implement cybersecurity and privacy governance programs. You will be involved in activities such as:

Cybersecurity Governance and Framework Implementation

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity governance frameworks aligned to NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or other recognized standards.
  • Define and operationalize security policies, procedures, and control frameworks
  • Assess current maturity levels and develop target operating models for cybersecurity and GRC.

Risk Management and Compliance Advisory

  • Conduct cybersecurity and IT risk assessments, control design reviews, and compliance evaluations.
  • Support the development of risk management methodologies, risk registers, and key risk indicators.
  • Assist clients in achieving and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, POPIA, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).

Data Privacy and Protection Services

  • Design and implement privacy governance programs and data protection controls
  • Perform privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
  • Develop privacy policies, consent frameworks, and data subject rights management processes.

Cybersecurity and Privacy Assurance

  • Support internal audits, compliance testing, and control effectiveness assessments.
  • Review third-party and vendor security practices to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Provide independent assurance on cybersecurity and privacy controls to client stakeholders.

Incident Preparedness and Response Support

  • Advise clients on cyber incident response governance and data breach management processes.
  • Assist in defining roles, escalation protocols, and regulatory notification requirements.
  • Support post-incident reviews and lessons-learned reporting.

Training and Awareness

  • Design and deliver cybersecurity and privacy awareness programs.
  • Build organizational capability and foster a culture of compliance and security accountability.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Ability to efficiently understand client organizations and their business model and to tailor relevant processes to privacy requirements
  • Communicate effectively with different stakeholders (e.g., business, legal, IT, security…) about data protection and privacy matters
  • Have an analytical mindset, strive for quality and can work in a result-oriented environment

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A recognized university degree in information technology, or other relevant discipline with 2-3 years of working experiences, preferably in the consulting space or industry
  • Approximately 2-5 years of experience working will be an advantage.
  • Prior experience with relevant cybersecurity frameworks, data protection and privacy regulations, industry standards and frameworks
  • Possession of relevant qualifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor / Lead Implementer, CISA, CIPT, CIPP/E and or CISSP as well as involvement in industry related organizations (e.g. IAPP, ISACA, (ISC)²) will be an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Prior experience as part of a cybersecurity or data protection team.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll spend most of your time managing client engagement teams, working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and managing business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts.

  • Anticipate clients’ Technology needs well beyond current engagements, adding value to the clients’ long-term business.
  • Identify industry issues faced by key accounts and adapt offerings with relevant industry content to meet client needs.
  • Consult with clients making investment decisions on Digital, Data & Information Technology in transforming their organisations.
  • Drive Digital, Data & IT projects with clients while managing the budget, timelines, and quality of end deliverables.

  • Experience using frameworks/methodologies to assess and recommend migration approaches and digital platform options.
  • Exceptional customer engagement, especially at C-level across both business and technology leadership. Ability to pivot from technology to business/commercial discussion, identifying the business value and benefits of digital.
  • Experience in IT strategy and Enterprise Architecture, Agile, Cloud computing, and Integration Architecture most recently in the context of digital.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for senior audiences.
  • Confidence to lead meetings with client sponsors, management, and individual contributors.

Ideally, you will also have

  • Results orientated and performance-driven approach.
  • Relevant Enterprise Architecture Certifications in TOGAF, ITIL, or similar.
  • Relevant digital, governance, or cyber certifications will be advantageous.
  • Experience in governance and people/skills/culture change management associated with a typical digital transformation project.
  • Experience in leading a team of 10 people or multiple smaller teams of people.
