  • As part of the Luxembourg International Tax group, you will provide Tax expertise to our financial services clients whilst offering a multidisciplinary approach to our clients. You will advise on international tax implications for multinational companies in relation to mergers and acquisitions as well as financing and holding activities. You will work on tax and strategic transaction advice in particular for our financial services clients and will provide tax structuring advice (Luxembourg and cross border).
  • You will contribute to the pre and post completion Tax planning, International Tax due diligence and will review sales and purchase documentation from a Tax perspective. You will manage and develop relationships with portfolio companies highlighting Tax planning opportunities and will analyze potential acquisitions and make recommendations accordingly.
  • You will manage client service teams and contribute to people development.

  • You will analyze tax accounts, reconciliations and handle routine queries to resolve issues. You will be working in conjunction with our International Tax and Transaction Services teams, as well as accounting & indirect tax teams to support clients with all their filing obligations.
  • You will further gain experience in working for financial industry sector companies with a particular focus on Alternative Investment Funds (e.g. Private equity, Real estate & Hedge funds) as well as multi-national and mid-market companies.

Your key responsibilities

  • Providing regulatory assessments on data protection matters to a wide range of clients from the financial services, commercial, healthcare and Fintech sectors.
  • Preparing and reviewing data protection-related documents such as policies and procedures, registers, data protection automations, and workflows.
  • Assisting in GDPR certification projects.
  • Assisting in Data Governance projects.
  • Assessing GDPR matters on artificial intelligence and automated decision-making projects.

Skills and attributes for success

  • You have up to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar working environment, particularly in data protection and technology risk.
  • You have a basic understanding of European data protection laws and regulations and awareness of their application in Luxembourg.
  • You hold a master’s degree – in particular, specializing in a field related to technology and data protection.
  • Certifications such as IAPP are a plus.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in data protection matters, including GDPR and data governance, is an asset.
  • You are fluent in English and French. Any other language will be considered as an asset.
  • You demonstrate excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
