Your key responsibilities

  • Responsible for partnering with the Global Payroll engagement teams to drive GDS Payroll delivery,

  • Payroll/HR/Finance/Systems background with an understanding of the core competencies of the payroll process,
  • Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels,
  • Should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Science/IT.

Additional skills and attributes for success

  • Good understanding in German legislations, tax, social security, union agreements, etc,
  • Good at project management and stakeholder management skills,
  • Service excellence, customer orientation,
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite of products,

Your key responsibilities

To qualify for the role, you must have


• A Bachelor/master’s degree in economics or equivalent, potentially with a supplementary degree in fiscal matters.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in in Indirect Tax compliance, VAT Reporting or Accountancy, including reconciliations, or Indirect Tax advisory, either in industry or with other service providers.

• Basic understanding of other compliance activities such as statutory accounting and corporate tax compliance.

• Basic understanding of ERP systems and VAT/GST reporting solutions

• Fluent in English – written and spoken, additionally, candidates with Dutch, French or German languages skills is an asset

• Excellent communication across cultures and within a virtual working environment
