Your key responsibilities


You will be responsible for assisting the day-to day operation of the building and associated equipment. In this role you will be also assisting administration projects, processes, policies, and procedures. Additionally, maintains a safe and effective working environment.

• Assisting the WES Team Supervisor in providing insights to the business
• Responsible for the office orders and purchases, cooperation with suppliers, service providers
• Working with company cars, involved in Fleet management
• Responsible for the mobile phones register
• Managing and tracking office correspondence
• Actively participating in the operational tasks of the office
• Assistance of event management and the corporate meetings and visits
• Cooperating closely with other departments
• Demonstrating strong customer services skills and building effective working relationships
• Performing of other tasks assigned by the Management including ad-hoc issues will be another part of your job

Qualifications and experience


• Bachelor’s degree
• Communication level English and Hungarian
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Willingness and ability to look for improvements in our daily routine (attitude towards technological change)
• Abilities to solve problems, set priorities and organize your own working time

Our indirect tax compliance professionals support large multinational clients with their indirect tax obligations in EMEIA and globally. Dealing with the indirect tax compliance requirements is the heart of the operations but this goes hand in hand with VAT advisory and technology support which we provide or coordinate with our specialist teams. We apply a client centric approach meaning that our professionals are organized per client, and not per country or region, to maximize the knowledge of our client’s business.

Your key responsibilities

As a Tax Associate, you will be working with a selection of clients where you are assisting a Senior Consultant colleague with regards to VAT/GST compliance outsourced to EY, including:

  • Act as central point of contact – liaise with your international colleagues with respect to European VAT compliance
  • Monitoring the quality/data receipt of the indirect tax data and reports of your clients; ensuring that data gaps are communicated to client in due time
  • Prepare indirect tax returns
  • Follow up on legislative changes and business changes in order to ensure that the systems and/or processes are updated – this includes liaising with technology team
  • Identify issues and opportunities to continuously improve the VAT compliance processes
  • Coordinate with other Seniors/VAT controllers and report to the client’s Process Owner at EY (senior manager or above)
  • Actively participate to the training and coaching session in your development plan to ensure continuous development of your technical knowledge

Qualifications and experience

  • A Bachelor/Master’s degree in Economics or Finance/Accounting
  • Preferably 1 year of working experience or internship finance/accounting/compliance, either in industry or with other service providers.
  • Basic understanding of IT-systems
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Fluent in English – written and spoken
  • Intermediate level in German, both written and spoken
  • Any additional European language is an asset
