EU Funds Junior Consultant will work with the Croatian ministries, public institutions and private sector clients in supporting the preparation and implementation of EU funded programs and projects. Your key responsibilities

• Working on consulting projects related to the following areas:
  • EU programs and projects preparation and implementation (various sectors), including preparation of Feasibility studies and/or Cost-benefit analysis
  • Capacity building of public institutions - process improvement, performance management, risk management etc.
• Information gathering tasks like interviews and surveys, reviewing existing research reports, performing workshops and conducting analytical tasks like data analysis and comparisons, cost benefit analysis, feasibility analysis etc.
• Screening of funding opportunities and summarizing most important information contained in the calls for proposals
• Preparation of power point presentations as a part of engagements’ delivery, as well as for business development purposes
• Public procurement related activities (preparing proposals for public procurement tenders; control of procurement process and documentation, preparation of tender dossiers etc.).

Skills and attributes for success

• University degree
• Knowledge related to EU programs and funding mechanisms
• Experience in preparation and/or implementation of EU funded projects is considered an advantage
• Experience in preparation of feasibility studies and/or cost-benefit analysis is considered an advantage
• Strong ambition and problem-solving skills

• Excellent command of MS Office

Our Forensic & Integrity Services (Forensics) team is growing and as a junior professional, you will play an important role in that growth. As a junior professional, you will work with clients from different industries, helping them solve important issues related to fraud and compliance. You can expect to take on a wide range of prevention and detection projects, making this a great place to develop your skills and business knowledge.

As all clients have unique issues, it is no exaggeration to say you will never be doing the same type of client engagement for too long. You will work with our clients’ legal counsel, internal audit and compliance departments investigating complex issues and developing practical solutions that address operational challenges. You will also support our clients to proactively monitor and address important risks within their businesses. It is all about using and developing your technical skills to creatively assess and resolve our clients’ needs from the front lines.

• 0-2 years of relevant Audit/Compliance/Internal control/AML&CFT working experience in one of the big audit or mid-tier firms with a proven track record of outstanding performance
• Excellent academic background including a bachelor and/or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other appropriate academic major (Mathematics, Computer Science and Data Science degrees with a professional experience in areas of Forensics are also encouraged to apply)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Croatian and English (proficiency with other than English foreign languages is advantage)
• Experience in understanding and analyzing company accounts and financial information, processes, policies and procedures
• Knowledge on the fields of Investigations & Compliance is advantage
• Enthusiasm for working across borders in an open and multi-cultural environment and flexibility to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements both within the Croatia and the region

Your key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and prepare legal analyses and opinions on specific situations in various areas of law
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide legal support to internal professional service line
• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
• Monitor and ensure compliance with, and reporting on, Croatian legal regulations and regulatory requirements within EY, including notifications and registrations towards state authorities
• Prepare corporate law documentation, including filings to the Commercial Register
• Provide training sessions on legal compliance and best practices.
• Cover the personal data protection agenda and anti-money laundering
• Provide employment related advice
• Cooperate on drafting and updating internal regulations, and make recommendations for processes and procedures, as necessary

Skills and attributes for success

• Law degree
• Min 3-5 related working experience (preferably in law office)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.

• Transport modeling

• Public transport studies

Also, when needed, support projects from other areas.

Working as Junior Transport Consultant includes:

• Working on transport related projects with the project team,

• Support to senior colleagues in project management activities,

• Support to senior colleagues in other activities (e.g. proposal preparation, presentations etc.).

Requirements

• University education in transport area – Faculty of Transportation, Transport Civil engineering, Faculty of Geography – including Transport Geography subject. Other university education will be acceptable in case the applicant has relevant experience in transport projects

• Very strong ambition and priorities related to professional achievements

• Hard working, problem solving capabilities, “can do” attitude and ability to work under pressure

• Fluent written and spoken English and Croatian
