Key responsibilities

As a Law Clerk, you will join our U.S. Business Immigration team. You will support multiple and challenging U.S. business immigration engagements and contribute to the delivery of solutions and ideas for our diverse institutional clients.

  • On instruction from the lawyer, research current processing requirements at service centres/consulates etc.
  • Manage the lifecycle of applications including, document collection, drafting, reviewing, editing and submission of packages.
  • Collect information and documentation from HR contacts and applicants.
  • Using available resources, draft complete application packages for review by the supervising lawyer.
  • Ensure that applications are filed in a timely manner.
  • Meet with lawyers to discuss questions raised by the client and then relate information back to the HR contact/applicant.
  • Draft emails in response to queries by clients and notify them of updates to their applications.
  • Delegate appropriate work to support staff, such as: completion of forms, copying of documents, and mailing out application packages.
  • Follow up with immigration authorities on pending applications.
  • Conduct electronic data entry including billing and general client information in applicant tracking system.
  • Ensure that lawyers are at all times advised of client related issues.
  • Professional Development: may be required to attend seminars and professional development courses that are relevant to their area of specialty.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate University Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of U.S business immigration preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Additional skills

  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and take on a variety of projects.

Your key responsibilities

· Lead ingestion and ETL design for structured and semi-structured data (CSV, JSON, APIs, Flat Files).

· Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing data science and data engineering teams.

Qual será o seu papel nesse propósito?

Como uma pessoa sênior de tributos, você será parte de Tax atuando em vários projetos globais e locais na área de Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR), ajudando grandes empresas a administrar e reduzir os riscos de suas operações, e assumindo as seguintes responsabilidades

  • Orientar a equipe na gestão de riscos e oportunidades que envolvam apuração de tributos diretos Imposto de Renda de Pessoas Jurídicas (IRPJ) e Contribuição Social sobre o Lucro Líquido (CSLL);
  • Auxiliar as equipes de auditoria na revisão dos cálculos e identificação de riscos / exposições;
  • Atuar na revisão e preparação da ECF (Escrituração Contábil Fiscal) e ECD (Escrituração Contábil Digital);
  • Desenvolver as pessoas, por meio da delegação efetiva de tarefas e fornecimento de orientação à equipe, fornecendo feedback e treinamento com relação ao desempenho;
  • Direcionar o trabalho de campo, gerenciar o desempenho da equipe e manter a liderança atualizada sobre os trabalhos, documentando as áreas de maior risco;
  • Desenvolver constantemente a sua compreensão das tendências e processos atuais do mercado e compartilhar o seu conhecimento para desenvolver a equipe;
  • Auxiliar as equipes de auditoria na revisão dos cálculos e identificação de riscos / exposições;
  • Realizar a revisão e preparação do imposto diferido e respectivas projeções de acordo com as normas ASC 740 e IAS 12, bem como Tax Provision e reconciliação da alíquota efetiva;
  • Atuar como especialista em várias equipes de atendimento ao cliente, participando de projetos na área de Business Tax Advisory;
  • Prestar consultoria na gestão de riscos e oportunidades que envolvam apuração de tributos diretos.

Your key responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact between the client and the application support center
• Monitor jobs, production processes, systems availability, latency and overall system health
• Create Incidents / Service Requests /Problem ticket and assign to teams
• Create application incident reports
• Perform initial analysis and resolution for the layers defined in scope
• Establish understanding of application, platform layers defined in scope
• Analyze, identify issues, conduct investigation of functional/technical bugs, service failures, operational
problems and provide acceptable workaround or resolutions to identified issues/defects
• Escalate further to L3 within a reasonable period with analysis and findings
• Triage, resolve, and conduct RCA
• Handle major incidents and joined SWAT calls
• Identification, classification, prioritization, and remediation of system issues
• Produce reports on defect/problem reporting data
• Build tools or establish processes to quickly triage issues and discover failures across the technology stack
• Analyze service performance and implement adjustments to mitigate risk and/or prevent issue recurrence
• Create and update support knowledge database
• Lead the documentation process for overall application support

Key responsibilities

As a Law Clerk, you will join our U.S. Business Immigration team. You will support multiple and challenging U.S. business immigration engagements and contribute to the delivery of solutions and ideas for our diverse institutional clients.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Learn U.S. business immigration processing categories and requirements for each visa category.
  • On instruction from the lawyer, research current processing requirements at service centres/consulates etc.
  • Manage the lifecycle of applications including, document collection, drafting, reviewing, editing and submission of packages.
  • Collect information and documentation from HR contacts and applicants.
  • Using available resources, draft complete application packages for review by the supervising lawyer.
  • Ensure that applications are filed in a timely manner.
  • Meet with lawyers to discuss questions raised by the client and then relate information back to the HR contact/applicant.
  • Draft emails in response to queries by clients and notify them of updates to their applications.
  • Delegate appropriate work to support staff, such as: completion of forms, copying of documents, and mailing out application packages.
  • Follow up with immigration authorities on pending applications.
  • Conduct electronic data entry including billing and general client information in applicant tracking system.
  • Ensure that lawyers are at all times advised of client related issues.
  • Professional Development: may be required to attend seminars and professional development courses that are relevant to their area of specialty.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate University Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of U.S business immigration preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and take on a variety of projects.
  • High level of professionalism to handle sensitive and confidential information.
