You will support businesses in meeting the complex requirements of tax reporting, compliance, planning, strategy, and dispute resolution. By combining deep technical and industry knowledge with proven methodologies, you will work with a variety of businesses and corporations to help them create and implement effective, practical, and sustainable tax strategies.You will offer personalized advice to clients and build valuable relationships with them and your team. You will lead projects, work in the business tax field, and identify new business opportunities.
Your key responsibilities
• You will oversee and successfully deliver complex consulting projects, ensuring top-notch technical quality and excellent client service. You will collaborate with various service lines, regions, and diverse teams to build advisory services, create opportunities, and establish long-term relationships. Your focus will be on key client business strategies and related tax policies to develop a strong pipeline.• You will manage client engagements, monitor progress and deliverables, implement standardized processes, resolve or escalate issues as needed, and drive performance improvements. You will also support partners in generating new business opportunities, building client networks, and expanding our client base in the region through marketing and business development efforts.• You will create, lead, and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a positive learning environment, and coaching team members for their development. You will manage engagement economics, communicate significant issues, fees, and estimates to partners and clients, and ensure compliance with our Tax Quality guidelines.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you should have:- A bachelor's or master’s degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, law, taxation, or any related essential fields.
- An MBA, LLM, or another related advanced degree and/or professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Over 7 years of strong knowledge and experience in Corporate Tax, ideally within a large professional services company or a similar environment.
- A proven track record of managerial, organizational, and project management experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Azerbaijani.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Strong professional writing and analytical skills.
- Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- The ability to quickly adapt to new environments and work in different teams.
- Experience in developing thought leadership in Tax, building market presence through public events, and pursuing new client opportunities.Ideally, you also have:- Experience dealing with multinational clients and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- The ability to connect with c-suite level executives, good negotiation skills, and the ability to work under challenging situations.
