Your key responsibilities
  • Identify and curate business-relevant solutions with EY service lines and sectors and align them to the Alliance’s co-innovation priorities.
  • Deliver a pipeline of scalable solutions that reflect joint EY and the Alliance’s strategic priorities.
  • The Solution Manager will drive co-innovation and co-build efforts in collaboration with Microsoft product and engineering teams and EY delivery teams, facilitating shared ownership of prototypes and MVPs.
  • Accelerate innovation cycles from intake to pilot-ready prototypes through structured framing and collaboration.
  • Ensure solutions are repeatable, reusable, and aligned with Service Line, Fields of Play, industry needs, and/or alliance GTM potential.
  • Bridge solution concept and delivery through alignment with EY service line teams, CoEs/Tech Hubs, Client Technology (CT), and Global Delivery Services (GDS).
  • Drive stakeholder alignment across EY and the Alliance to ensure solution momentum, visibility, and support.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Identify innovation opportunities by engaging with EY practitioners, service line teams, clients, and alliance partners to uncover pain points, inefficiencies, and emerging needs that could be addressed using the Alliance’s technology.
  • Evaluate and prioritize solution concepts based on strategic relevance, value potential, and technical feasibility.
  • Curate and articulate solution scope, requirements, and success criteria in partnership with business leaders. Articulate business value, build initial business cases, and ensure solutions align with EY services and the Alliance’s ecosystem.
  • Drive co-innovation and co-build efforts in collaboration with the Alliance’s product and engineering teams and EY delivery teams, facilitating shared ownership of prototypes and MVPs.
  • The role promotes an innovation mindset across projects, encouraging experimentation and modeling entrepreneurial thinking and resilience.
  • The Solution Manager will drive stakeholder alignment across EY and Microsoft to ensure solution momentum, visibility, and support.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects to translate business requirements into high-level technical specifications that meet EY compliance and architectural standards.
  • Oversee the solution portfolio in the Alliance partner’s portals/marketplaces in coordination with BMC and GTM teams, ensuring relevance, value delivery, and lifecycle accountability.
  • Promote an innovation mindset across projects—iterating solutions based on new information, encouraging experimentation, and modeling entrepreneurial thinking and resilience.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for solution domain(s), maintaining relationships with EY sector leaders, FoP owners, and the Alliance’s directors.
  • Maintain awareness of the Alliance’s roadmap and co-innovation priorities through close collaboration with the Alliance Solution Lead, Engagement Lead, and the Alliance partner’s stakeholders.
  • Represent solutions in internal steering, triage, or GTM discussions; prepare business cases or pitch summaries as needed.
  • Coordinate pilot programs and handoff readiness with solution owners and stakeholders.
  • Support reporting and storytelling of solution impact by tracking adoption, strategic alignment, and contribution to EY’s and the Alliance’s goals.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • EY’s global strategic alliances are the most complex relationships due to breadth of relationship across multiple competencies, sectors and geographies. They are also anticipated to result in a higher degree of revenue for EY and require a higher degree of collaboration. The Associate Director will be expected to influence senior level executives across both EY and the alliance company to drive the objectives of the relationship.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Experience of having led Managed Services pricing for clients across multiple years and number of deals, including fluency in different types of pricing arrangements and analysing contracts to identify risks and propose appropriate risk mitigation measures.
  • Chartered Accountant/MBA Finance/CFA with 10+ years’ experience in Pricing, RFP/deal reviews, contract reviews and development of client business cases.
  • Experience working with and challenging the “status quo” of initiatives related to the monetization and commercialization of products, services, solutions and transactions
  • Experience in interpretation of voice-of-the customer data to design pricing and commercialization strategy
  • Experience in value-based pricing, value-based selling with consideration to client willingness to pay and an appreciation of competitive forces.

The Associate Director will be expected to influence senior level executives across both EY and the alliance company to drive the objectives of the relationship.
