Description:
At
Manager of Revenue Accountingto lead our revenue accounting function within a fast-paced software company. This role will oversee a team of four revenue accountants and ensure compliance with ASC 606, internal policies, and external audit requirements. The Manager will partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Legal, and Operations to ensure accurate revenue recognition and reporting.

About the Manager, Revenue Accounting role:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four (4) revenue accountants, providing coaching, feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
    • Oversee the month-end and quarter-end close process for revenue, ensuring accurate and timely recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
    • Review and approve complex revenue arrangements, including SaaS subscriptions, professional services, and bundled arrangements.
    • Manage the preparation of revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
    • Partner with Sales Operations, Deal Desk, and Legal to review contracts and ensure proper revenue treatment.
    • Collaborate with FP&A to provide revenue forecasts and variance analyses.
    • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance with SOX controls.
    • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of the revenue including creating SOPs, implementing change processes while working collectively with our Transformation team and continuing to streamline processes.
    • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
About you as the Manager, Revenue Accounting:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
    • Experience in the software industry (SaaS experience highly preferred).
    • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP) and revenue automation tools.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    • Strategy & Vision:
    • Develop and articulate compelling product vision and strategy based on customer needs, market trends, and competitive analysis with Jira and Confluence.

    • Product Development & Lifecycle Management:

    • Customer Insight & Market Analysis:
    • It's all about solving customer problems. You'll be the voice of the customer, making sure what gets built actually helps them out
    • Get ready to work with everyone – product managers, engineers, designers, even legal. You'll be brainstorming ideas, gathering requirements, and getting everyone on the same page.
    • Engage with external partners and stakeholders to align product development with market needs.
    • Conduct comprehensive market research and customer analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
    • Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
    • Work closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support to ensure successful product development and launch.
    • Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and progress to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership.
    • Financial & Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage the product budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities.
    • Monitor and analyze product profitability and performance to inform future investment decisions.
About you as the Principal Product Manager:
    • 8+ years in product leadership with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
    • 2+ years of Android OS experience, plus mobile tech and software development in general.
    • Strong preference for experience with mobile advertising world, especially video, CTV, and yield management.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading product development from ideation to launch.
    • Strong understanding of market research, data analysis, and financial modeling.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence without formal authority.
    • You can work with people across different time zones and cultures.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Proficient in product management software and tools.

    • Manage relationships with external suppliers such as food and beverage providers, property management, security companies, health and safety consultants, utilities companies, etc.
