This IQA role will primarily focus on delivering effective and on-time delivery of issue remediation across the Markets business at Citi. The role integrates in-depth knowledge of risk practices, control design and implementation, and audit validation methodology with a solid understanding of the effective partnership required across the first, second and third lines to complete remediation effectively.

What you’ll do

• Support effective issue management, including issue identification, root cause analysis/evaluation, remediation, closure, monitoring, reporting, change management and escalation to promote comprehensive, consistent, accurate, and timely issue resolution

• Drive Markets IQA engagement across the full lifecycle of high severity issue remediations and key remediation programs

• Act as a key resource for Markets Issue owners to advise and support on the effective design and implementation of key control remediations

• Partner with colleagues to build highly effective relationships across the Markets business to ensure remediation design and implementation is effectively project managed and executed in co-ordination with second and third lines

• Improve IA engagement by promoting awareness and knowledge of IA methodology

• Support the IQA program for Markets, ensuring adherence with IQA relevant policies and procedures

• Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects
• Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment

Markets Operations at Citi has embarked on a significant, multi-year transformation covering all aspects of designing and delivering a future state target operating model: risk and controls, regulatory compliance, process re-engineering, automation, people and culture, data transformation, technology investment and client service. This is a large and complex undertaking.

What you’ll do

• Manages assigned workstreams across large regulatory reform programmes, tracking delivery to plan, resolving issues, and ensuring appropriate governance artefacts are in place.
• Works with Operations, Legal, Compliance and Technology stakeholders to define and agree regulatory interpretations, scoping impacts to processes and controls.
• Supports the Programme Manager in driving business case preparation, cost-benefit analysis, and KPI alignment to regulatory obligations.

What we’ll need from you

• Significant experience in financial services, specifically in programme delivery or regulatory transformation.
• Proven track record delivering major regulatory change across the European Capital Markets landscape — including experience with CSDR, EMIR Refit, SFTR, MiFID II, or Basel III/CRR II.
• Deep understanding of post-trade operations: trade capture, margining, settlement, reporting, and related control environments.
• Strong experience working with Markets Operations stakeholders and Technology partners across regions.
• Excellent documentation, process mapping, issue tracking and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with global and European market infrastructure (CCPs, CSDs, custodians) and interaction with industry groups (e.g. ISDA, ICMA, AFME) is a plus
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
• CAPM, PMP, PgMP, CBAP or MBA are a plus.

Duties: Responsible for development of the unexpected credit loss models, risk-weighted asset calculation used in determining the capital requirement or capital adequacy ratio for Citi's entire retail credit.
