What we do:

Middle Office Specialist is an entry level position responsible for providing operational support to Traders with securities, cash and derivatives transactions. It includes: trade monitoring and reporting, market matching and transaction settlement. This position is based on multiple parties communication ( via phone, email or personally) in order to investigate incoming queries and to monitor trade execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide an operational support to Traders with securities, cash and derivatives transactions

  • Prepare daily and weekly/monthly reports

  • Cooperate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders like: Brokers, Custodian, Accounting Teams etc.

  • Perform control functions such as daily trade monitoring, reconciliations across systems and failed trades management

  • Assist Team Manager/Supervisor in all their duties as required

Qualifications:

What you’ll do:

The University Relations Specialist will be responsible for building relationships and developing innovative strategies that differentiate Citi on campus. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with universities with the aim of positioning Citi as an employer of choice for students

  • Work closely with the recruitment team to understand their hiring needs and ensure the university relations strategy supports this

What we’ll need from you:

The Valuation Control Group (VCG) is an independent global group within Product Control responsible for reviewing and reporting fair value inventory and IPV across all asset classes.

What you will do:

  • Valuation Control:Execute valuation control processes, including Independent Price Verification (IPV), Valuation Adjustments, and Fair Value Hierarchy maintenance, in coordination with Product Control, Risk, Operations, and Front Office teams.

  • Data Analysis & Solution Provision:Analyze data and market conditions to identify and provide solutions for valuation issues impacting relevant business areas.

  • Reporting & Control Compliance:Develop and prepare Business Valuation Control Reports and contribute to the development and implementation of controls to ensure compliance with valuation policies and standards.

  • Issue Escalation & Resolution:Identify pricing discrepancies and IPV threshold breaches, acting as an initial escalation point and working towards resolution.

Product Control Analyst

Product Control, the largest department in Finance, is primarily responsible for controlling daily profit and loss reporting, price verification and trading activity for the Institutional Clients Group. We work closely across functions on a daily basis (including the Trading desks, Risk Management, Operations, and other areas of Finance) and develop a deep understanding of the products traded, along with the associated market risks and accounting complexities.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the end-to-end Product Control process, including daily P&L preparation and related activities: Review and analyse new trades, associated risks and the P&L generated, also understand and analyse the P&L coming from market moves on the existing portfolio of trades.
  • Perform Independent Price Verification (IPV), calculate or validate Valuation Adjustments, and perform Fair Value Levelling (to classify the inventory in scope by observability of the external inputs used for price verification)
  • Work closely with various areas of the Finance department, liaising with the Trading Desk, Risk Management, Operations, Middle Office and IT teams
  • Use effective escalation to ensure issues are highlighted in a timely manner. Focus on recurring issues and drive through enhancement projects and systems fixes
  • Support standardization efforts and work on strategic as well as ad-hoc projects to improve Citi’s Product Control system infrastructure and to implement process improvement ideas

Ideal background:

  • A university or college degree in Finance/Accounting is an advantage but not a must as we are open to other majors.
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Confident analytical and communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills. (Training will be provided on other in-house and industry standard systems used in this position.)
  • Knowledge of or demonstrated interest in financial products is an advantage.
