Your Impact
  • Help our customers be successful with Hypershield and Cisco Nexus Smart Switches
  • Engage with assigned customer accounts to accelerate their value realization by assisting in the deployment of Nexus Smart Switches and Hypershield into customer networks
  • Build deep technical relationships with key customer team members and be a trusted advisor
  • Conduct workshops for customers on new and existing product capabilities
  • Bring your customer's proven experience to collaborate with engineering and support teams to unblock customer issues
  • Help create workshops, training material, reference architectures, product documentation, and any relevant artifacts that would help us provide additional value to our customers, deepen their understanding of our technology, and run the most reliably in production
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience configuring and managing Cisco Nexus switches running NX-OS (preferred) or Cisco devices running IOS-XE/XR (alternately, 5+ years of experience configuring and managing networking infrastructure from another major vendor)
  • 3+ years of experience with Linux
  • 1+ years of experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • 1+ years of experience securing operating system (OS) instances, applications, and/or distributed systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of standard methodologies for operating systems security and their application in cloud-native technologies and environments
  • Evidence of direct experience using network troubleshooting tools, including but not limited to packet capture and analysis utilities
  • Proven familiarity with tools and technologies for automating repetitive tasks
  • Experience with designing and implementing security solutions across multiple platforms
  • A solid understanding of the pillars of observability
  • Prior experience working with and supporting open source software (OSS)
  • Ability to provide well-structured reasoning and insights about various cloud-native technologies and security frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed recommendations based on technical and business needs
  • Possessing CCNP Data Center, CCNP Enterprise, DevNet Professional, CCIE Data Center, CCIE Enterprise, or DevNet Expert certifications will be a key advantage.

Cilium Tetragon is a flexible, Kubernetes-aware security tool, with real-time observability and enforcement. Leveraging the power of eBPF, Tetragon offers a low-overhead, in-kernel solution that enhances security posture by monitoring system behaviors such as process executions, system call activities, network activity and file access events for both embedded systems and cloud native environments.

This role is for a Tetragon software engineer primarily with focus on developing the Tetragon agent, enablement for various embedded platforms and cloud environments, and developing Tetragon’s BPF programs that are loaded to detect and prevent malicious activity.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop high-quality Go (and eBPF) code for the Tetragon project
  • Be a part of the Tetragon, Cilium, and eBPF OSS communities
  • Design and implement advanced eBPF-based runtime security mechanisms for embedded, Kubernetes and VM environments.
  • Enhance and improve Tetragons network parser capabilities.
  • Tackle challenging technical problems
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and contribute to technical documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Computer Science degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Systems programming
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

Tetragon security engineers primarily focus on creating and maintaining Tetragon runtime security policies.

Policies can act either as a mitigation to known vulnerabilities or as monitoring and protection against unknown security issues.


What you’ll do:
  • Develop and maintain Tetragon runtime security policies to monitor and protect against attacks
  • Monitor vulnerability disclosures (CVEs) and develop Tetragon runtime security policies as mitigation against them.
  • Interact with software engineers to improve and enhance the capabilities of Tetragon security policies
  • Interact with solution architects and customers as necessary to support and deploy Tetragon security policies in production

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working on Linux system security (e.g., capabilities, LSMs, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience with security vulnerabilities and their exploitation
  • Experience with Linux kernel internals and system software design and implementation
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with eBPF (extended Berkeley Packet Filter) and its applications in security.
