Mainframe Skills Desired:

• Proficiency in z/OS mainframe environment

• Working knowledge of TCP/IP

• Working knowledge of TN3270 and Logmodes is a plus

• Experience with ACL/e (Automated Conversion Language) is a plus

• Knowledge of Mainframe Architecture and Operations

What You’ll Do

This role encompasses the administration, maintenance, and support of the Endevor environment, including installing and deploying updates, managing tables, and supporting API programs and new features. The administrator will monitor Endevor stability and ensure data recoverability through backups and reorganizations. Essential duties involve providing comprehensive user support, analyzing errors, creating knowledge documents, assisting with element recovery, and advising on security definitions. The role also includes managing Endevor system metadata, supporting general requests, and maintaining a stable test region for development and demos. Additionally, the administrator will contribute to education by building and maintaining development life-cycles and web-services implementations, advising on user experience enhancements, and developing utilities for automation.

What You Need

  • Proven experience in Endevor administration and support.

  • Strong understanding of Endevor concepts, including maintenance, monitoring, security, and metadata.

  • Experience with Endevor API programs, Exits, Processors, and JCL.

  • Familiarity with TopSecret profiles for security definitions.

  • Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for Endevor.

  • Research and investigate complex issues for Broadcom product defects for associated product(s). Use logs, traces, dumps, debuggers, review of product code, scripts or other software tools as a precursor to involvement by the Development team.
  • Maintain and utilize lab environments to replicate customer issues to determine solutions or identify product defects.Shareconfiguration best-practices with customers. Identify barriers preventing customers from upgrading or deploying products.
  • Communicate business impact of product issues to the Development team and collaborate on prioritization and selection of solutions.
  • Lead and coordinate aged/escalated issues to the customer's satisfaction. Provide structured follow-up coaching for less-experienced team-members.
  • Utilize Knowledge Centered Service (KCS) processes to appropriately reuse, create, update, publish, and retire knowledge. Collaborate with colleagues in developing knowledge content.
  • Adhere to best practices and case hygiene in the case resolution methodology.
