Senior Sourcing Specialist – I.T.

Responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for theInformation Technology Category.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the Information Technology Category Team with sourcing of I.T. Software, Hardware, and Services.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of I.T. Sourcing Strategies that align with business objectives and drive cost savings

  • Support development of the Annual Clinical Category Plan via research, analytics, and development of presentation materials.

  • Lead Sourcing Events for the I.T. Category: RFQ, RFP, RFI and Auctions.

  • Facilitate overall supplier selection process, including analysis of proposals, development of recommendations, and facilitation of decision-making process.

  • Negotiate and drive towards the execution of contracts with existing and new service providers. Detailed contract review and editing expected.

  • Conduct benchmarking projects and analysis to determine best in class opportunities. Develop cost modelling and business cases.

  • Report accomplishments and communicate project status and critical issues to I.T. and Sourcing Leadership.

  • Responsible for driving and tracking cost reductions to meet business targets.

  • Maintain and support vendor contracts and databases.

  • Organize and participate in Supplier Business Reviews.

  • Support continuous improvement of Procurement Processes (Sourcing & Purchasing).

  • Ensure compliance with the Boston Scientific Quality System and Approved Vendor List

  • Negotiate favorable payment terms with suppliers

  • While based in EMEA, the scope will include local and global vendors

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

  • 4-6 years’ experience within I.T. or related Sourcing/Procurement functions

  • Ability to work independently, lead Sourcing events and interact with stakeholders to meet customer requirements and deliver savings.

  • Demonstrated project management skills; ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with suppliers and employees

  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.)

  • Experience with contracts drafting

  • Fluent in English

  • Available to travel within EMEA.

Desired Qualifications:

  • IT systems knowledge in SAP, Ariba or similar Sourcing / Procurement Suites

  • Market and legal knowledge required in addition to procurement skills

Description:

In this role, you will drive the growth of our innovative Interventional Oncology portfolio (including Cryoablation, SIRT – Selective Internal Radiation Therapy, and Embolization) across Western Poland.

Your main mission is to build and strengthen relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospital administration & medical societies to increase the number of patients treated and expand market share for our product franchises.

You will act as the link between professional associations, clinics, and internal teams such as sales, marketing, and clinical specialists. This means leading market penetration through targeted networking, clinical advocacy, and strategic sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date on industry, competitive, healthcare, and economic trends, and assess their impact on short- and long-term business plans.
  • Identify new business opportunities by developing and leveraging partnerships with academic and research institutions and KOLs.
  • Design and implement sales strategies to grow the number of patients treated with our portfolio products.
  • Support physicians and hospital staff through education, workshops, and training — including patient identification, referral pathways, and treatment follow-up and on-going patient monitoring procedures.
  • Actively participate in conferences, courses, and industry forums hosted by the company or external partners.
  • Work closely with sales teams to build and maintain relationships with decision-makers in key accounts.
  • Transfer projects to local sales teams after successful implementation, focusing on expanding into new accounts.
  • Provide clinical support during IO procedures (sterile field), including device preparation, technical support, and system troubleshooting.
  • Device Management: monitor inventory levels, initiate logistics, i.e. shipments and movement tracking of products. Monitor the levels and expiration dates of products in the field. Coordinate communication between internal and external customers to facilitate material management.

Your Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in sales or business development related positions within the medical or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong background in selling complex, consultative solutions (preferably in medtech or pharma).
  • Experience in organizing workshops or training sessions is a plus.
  • Solution-oriented mindset, creativity, and the ability to work independently on diverse business challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, credibility, and persuasiveness.
  • Proven experience in building strategies for product launches.
  • Goal-oriented, with a strong track record of achieving results in team environments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Category B driving license.
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (domestic and international).
  • Active participation in congresses, symposia, and workshops.
  • Confident, proactive, and motivated personality with analytical and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Open, positive attitude with a passion for sales and market development.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and administering internal documents flow required in case of HCP interactions according to compliance requirements (requests management in the corporate system including HCP contract management/invitations letters, pre and post event documentation etc)
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, HCP contractual obligations, and local legal requirements depending on the country in the EMEA region
  • Meetings coordination: support in the organization of medical events such as webinars, advisory boards and sales meetings: internal and external, registering meetings in CVENT
  • Booking flights, hotels and restaurants, handling registrations, maintaining a regular exchange with participants to keep them informed
  • Partner with commercial colleagues, congress organizers and/or external agencies to understand the required actions for specific events
  • Support to spend and budget tracking of the supported business team
  • Procurement: responsible for ordering products or services for third-party entities as needed, PO processing
  • Invoice Handling: invoice processing, including payments follow-up and monitoring invoice status to ensure timely payments.
  • Management of marketing materials stored in an external warehouse (ordering, arranging shipments at the request of business teams, monitoring stocks)
  • Reference contact person for EMEA Sales & Mkt teams and international customers - obtain/provide information, answer queries related to established policies and procedures. Direct people to the appropriate resource
  • As part of a Business Support team, provide support and collaborate with Business Support members when needed
  • Manages work in a confidential manner, ensuring information is shared with internal and external individuals in an appropriate manner

Our requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in similar role in service/ support-oriented role
  • Experience in meetings organization in a medical device company will be a plus
  • Proactive and service-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Very good organizational and task prioritization skills,
  • Problem solving skills
  • High attention to detail and keen to learn new skills
  • Able to work independently and be part of the team
  • Experience working in a multinational or cross-cultural environment is an asset
  • Advanced level in use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
