About the role:

This position is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of PI Vascular Medical Affairs and Professional Education meetings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage program logistics including sleeping rooms, flights, food and beverage, ground transportation, meeting room set-up, budgets, attendee management, communications, and onsite materials.
  • Build and manage event registration processes using Cvent, ensuring accurate data management, providing attendee support, generating reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless event execution.
  • Manage surveys and evaluate feedback from the training programs and working closely with the Program Mangers to make changes to our current programs to ensure use of both best practice and new innovative education methods.
  • Ensures consistency and collaboration for meetings while following established guidelines, processes, and tools.
  • Defines, tracks, and maintains budgets while ensuring cost-saving measures and spending are within allocated amounts.
  • Maintains and enhances knowledge of the meetings & events industry trends and best-in-class practices.
  • Partners with and manages vendors to ensure objectives are being met.
  • Runs reports and presents data metrics to leadership for all Medical Affairs & Ed as requested.
  • Planning and coordinating other projects that contribute to the accomplishment of the clinical education goals and objectives
  • Communicates proactively to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Educates cross-functional teams, provides direction, and establishes solutions where appropriate.
  • Ensures all company policies and compliance practices are being followed.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience in event/meeting planning
  • Proven history of working on international HCP programs and outside of the US compliance policies.

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with physician customers and sales teams.

  • Must be a strong communicator and collaborator
  • Ability to develop new processes and adjust practices to meet business needs.

Purpose Statement

The General Accounting Process Steward plays a pivotal role in leading and executing transformation initiatives within the Accounting (ATR) organization. Reporting to the Global Process Leader (GPL), this position is responsible for advancing the global accounting change agenda and driving the process improvement roadmap across all General Accounting processes.

1. End-to-End Process Expertise & Value Improvement

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the end-to-end General Accounting process.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, including design, documentation, and governance.
  • Conduct data analytics and stakeholder consultations to develop comprehensive process designs.
  • Balance regional and functional needs while maintaining global process consistency.
  • Analyze business challenges, apply best practices, and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Present improvement proposals and monitor implementation progress, providing updates to leadership.

2. Global Process Leader (GPL) Roadmap Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for process improvement opportunities within General Accounting.
  • Collect, evaluate, and prioritize enhancement ideas in collaboration with regional and functional teams.
  • Support the GPL in maintaining a continuous improvement roadmap aligned with strategic objectives.

3. Change Leadership

  • Serve as a change champion for the global process framework within the General Accounting function.
  • Lead the implementation of process changes and ensure successful adoption.
  • Collaborate with Finance Stewards to address regional, divisional, and functional issues.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and use insights to drive further process optimization.

4. Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Finance and Process Stewards, transformation programs, and service teams to ensure global performance alignment.
  • Review and update key metrics for global benchmarking and performance tracking.
  • Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities based on KPI trends.
  • Manage RAID log items, presenting progress and opportunities to the GPL and ATR Process Council.

5. Governance & Risk Management

  • Lead governance activities by resolving process and performance escalations as defined by the escalation matrix.
  • Take ownership of process breakdowns and drive corrective action plans.
  • Present recommendations and data-driven insights to councils and external stakeholders to influence adoption.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Certifications: CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent qualifications preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of progressive, end-to-end accounting experience, ideally across multiple functional areas. Proven success within BSC or a similar multinational organization is strongly valued.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Business process improvement (Lean Six Sigma or process engineering preferred).
    • ERP experience (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a global process mindset.
  • Functional Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, US GAAP, internal controls, and SOX 404 compliance.
    • Ability to interpret local regulations and assess their impact on financial processes and statements.
  • Leadership & Influence:
    • Proven ability to lead without formal authority, influence senior stakeholders, and drive change.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and executive presence.
  • Global Experience: Awareness of cultural differences and ability to communicate effectively across regions.
  • Consultative Style: Ability to articulate strategic and tactical perspectives, fostering understanding and alignment.
  • Language: Fluent English required; additional languages are an asset.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to other BSC sites may be required.

What are your responsibilities

  • Proactively identify end-to-end payroll accounting process optimization opportunities

  • Adhere to global / local corporate policies, statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements, GAAP principles, SOX, Corporate Audit & Compliance, Ethical, and Quality standards

What are we looking for in you

  • Min. bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience that demonstrates the necessary skills and knowledge
