  • Visit customers and / or potential customers of Boston Scientific on a regular and planned basis to promote products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with your Manager.
  • Managing of existing and acquiring of new customers in the assigned territory.
  • Consequently planning and developing the market for our existing and new products according with divisional goals and objectives, through execution, while optimize available tools (consignment etc.).
  • Ongoing technical training and support to customers directly in the cathlabs.
  • Competent contact person for hospital management, purchasing department and hospital staff.
  • Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
  • Analyze and report to your Manager and/or others (monthly & year basis) the market and business feedback by using all available support tools (e.g. AMS, etc.).
  • To represent Boston Scientific values and integrity.
  • Participate in development of less experienced staff members.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Analysis:

  • Maintain product forecast, including inventory analysis.
  • Develop operational product launch strategies – identify product roll-out strategy.
  • Franchise/product responsibility for developing competitive strategy and product analysis.
  • Assist in providing market potential/analysis in developing market planning documents that encompass strategic planning, marketing plans, etc.
  • Understand how product profit/loss is impacted by consignment plans, national contracts, etc.
  • Responsible for tracking financial performance of product, analysis of issues and action plan development to achieve revenue objectives.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that enhance profitability and competitive positioning
  • Operate within and assist in the development of the franchise budget (including travel, promotion, advertising, etc.)

Market Development:

  • Assist in the development and responsible for the execution of local market strategies; Identify clinical/market trends and suggest new product/marketing opportunities.
  • Create and manage Physician training programs, Responsible for the implementation of strategic marketing plans for product areas consistent with the overall franchise goals and Strategic Plan.
  • Develop creative approaches to market existing/new products.
  • Assist in creating reimbursement strategies

Product / Market Management:

  • Be responsible for both consumable and capital equipment
  • Be responsible for developing, coordinating and executing training for local sales forcce
  • Facilitate Physician to Physician training and selling; Development of downstream sales tools to support sales execution
  • Help the local franchises sales force with active field support
  • Actively participate in local sales meetings
  • Participate in main customer events; Develop and implement launch strategies, including launch package.

Product Development:

  • Communicate market needs to regional marketing teams
  • Conduct continuous product evaluations and providing feedback to the regional marketing teams; Contribute to prioritization input for new product development

Building and Maintaining Relationships:

  • Establish relationships with key thought leaders in the field;
  • Identify key Physician champions for franchise;
  • Develop support structure and relationship with sales representatives and sales management through responsiveness to their questions, needs and issues;
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining regional key opinion registers;
  • Assist in coordinating Physician symposiums.

Qualification and Experience

  • At least a bachelor’s in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of sales and marketing experience with focus on Medical Devices, Healthcare business or Pharmaceutical.
  • IC: Doctors training support, Patient and doctor awareness of disease and procedure
  • Good Medical Devices product management experience would be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership with results-driven mindset and excellent communication skill.
  • Proactive with good interpersonal skills and good problem solving.
  • Excellent English proficiency and computer literature.

  • Elaborates strategy with business stakeholders, weighing pros and cons and influence toward the best ROI.
  • Support the decision-making process by performing scenario modeling based on a clear business understanding.
  • Leverages business acumen and current market insights to drive forecast accuracy.
  • Key participant in FP&A process, including the preparation and data input of quarterly sales and OPEX plans / annual budgets into Pillar.

Clinical Support

  • Serves as primary resource for clinical support in the areas of case coverage, basic troubleshooting, system/software development for EP systems and catheters.

  • Educates customers and internal BSC employees on the merits and proper clinical usage of our products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals) to keep all abreast of the latest product and technology developments for Rhythmia system.
  • Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and services by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel to develop optimal solutions.
  • Providing initial and continuous, as needed, training and feedback for development team and sales representatives (as appropriate) on our EP systems, development process, products and features, and procedures.
  • Will be required to maintain advanced clinical knowledge of cardiac ablation, cardiac ablation components, technical knowledge of EP technology, advancements, and business landscape.
  • Will be required to develop / maintain advanced clinical knowledge of cardiac ablation, cardiac ablation components, technical knowledge of EP technology, advancements, and business landscape.
  • Will be required to travel occasionally depending on area coverage and training needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering/ biomedical/ biomedical engineering or any medical-related field.
  • Minimum 5 years as an experienced and independent in the area of specialties
  • Experience and familiar with EP, CRM or cardiovascular technologies will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity in local speaking language like Malay. However, sufficiency in English speaking is a must.
  • Candidate must be proactive and has a strong willingness to learn.
  • Excellent teamwork skill.
