  • Domain knowledge and familiarity with regulatory landscape including but not limited to model risk management, Anti-money laundering.

  • Proficiency with Above-the Line and Below- the-Line (ATL/BTL) techniques, Sampling methods, AML Coverage Assessments is a plus.

  • Prior experience in model development and/or model validation is a plus.

  • Advanced knowledge and working experience in statistical methods, techniques, and financial data.

  • Proficient in Python, SAS and SQL.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and collaboration skills (this role involves communicating with various groups within the firm).

  • Critical thinking and ability to work independently and proactively identify, debate, escalate, suggest, and resolve issues.

  • CAMS certification (preferred)

  • Providing technical support to our clients via telephone and email in support of queries relating to a variety of card based systems, managing through to resolution with both internal and 3rd party vendor teams.
  • Working closely with Sales, Operations, Technical Help Desk, and Fulfilment departments leveraging teamwork to provide the client with a seamless delivery
  • Possessing a passion and urgency to serve our clients and operate as a client advocate
  • Researching data problems, investigating technical errors and troubleshooting complex queries for clients, all within defined SLA’s.
  • Assisting Clients with running and building MI reports and helping to reconcile financial data inconsistencies.
  • Being consistently focused on delivering quality responses with customer service and adherence to bank policies and procedures at the front of mind.

This job is responsible for functionally leading a team. The team is working on number of algorithmic engines that support benchmark algos, smart order routing and internal crossing, serving the EMEA as well as global electronic business. Apart from a continuous stream of strategy container enhancements and regulatory requirements, the team is also working on number of framework related items. The underlying platform has been built on a Java framework with next generation low latency and high throughput at the heart of the application. There is a high degree of business and quants interaction.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

Delivery of key functional changes to the ETT strategy engines

  • Delivery of core framework-level changes
  • Interaction with quantitative trading group / quantitative traders to capture core requirements.
  • Being involved with all aspects of the development lifecycle (gathering requirements, developing code, writing unit tests, reviewing patches, performing 2nd level support

The following skills are required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in developing modern systems using modern software development practices and an automation first mindset across the software development lifecycle, particularly around shift-left testing.
  • In depth understanding of core Java API’s (collections, concurrency, NIO )
  • Understand and have experience with multithreaded systems, working knowledge of the Java garbage collector, familiar with low latency I/O.
  • Demonstrable experience of front office system design and architecture (algo trading plant and topology)
  • Business Knowledge – Understanding of equities and/or derivatives markets.
