Key Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• JD degree and active membership in state bar.
• At least 4 years of experience in general corporate matters at a law firm or in-house, including securities law, corporate finance and corporate governance issues.

• Providing business and legal advice to business stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities

• Support multiple business partners across centralized functions with strategic initiatives by developing business cases and creating insightful analysis that enables management decisions
• Lead portfolio prioritization process across functions ensuring funding is being directed toward high-value investments and groups are managing spend within targets

Minimum Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school and currently admitted to practice law in at least one United States jurisdiction. Alternatively, a master’s degree in project management from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience in contractual compliance processes and risk management
• 7+ years of complex contractual and/or technology focused litigation and counseling at a top-tier law firm and/or professional compliance experience in house
• Passion to build out and continuously improve IP risk compliance programs, strategic initiatives, and processes

• Exposure to complex contractual and/or trade secrets investigations
• Strong grasp of technology and a desire to dive into the details

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Continually analyzing the evolving trade laws and regulations applicable to the company, and their impact on strategy and operations.
• Provide support to the trade functions due diligence team to resolve trade related flags that rise.
• Conduct trade related legal investigations or reviews to resolve internal reports.
• Providing critical programmatic support for trade compliance organization enhancements throughout the global enterprise.

Major Areas of Responsibility

As an in-house attorney focused on trade compliance, you will advise on cross-border transactions and a wide range of international trade compliance matters. This senior counsel position will collaborate closely with peers in developing and enhancing both US and non-US compliance processes as geopolitics continue to influence global trade strategy and business for the semiconductor industry. You will coordinate with external legal counsel, as appropriate, and provide legal advice to the company’s global business units and departments. Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree and a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in advising multinational businesses on trade compliance matters, including US export controls, imports/customs, sanctions and compliance program development.

• Investigations background, preferably in trade related investigations.
