Job Profile

Industrial Engineer (E4)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages and participate in complex Industrial Engineering and Operations Research related projects to improve semiconductors productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct a current-state assessment of business processes and identification of improvement opportunities. Based on this assessment, design, implement, and manage process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Train, mentor, and coach Champions, in the use of Six Sigma tools and methodology to ensure timely completion of projects with expected client results.
• Participate in productivity improvement studies such as cycle time reduction, Gemba and output improvement, and implementation in related to effective and efficient use of assets and production processes.
• Use Industrial Engineering technique such as time studies, simulation, value stream analysis, business process re-engineering, lean six sigma and Gemba to analyze and quantify and improve semiconductors fab’s operations.
• Develops continual improvement roadmap and oversees the deployment of these strategies across multiple functions.
• Used Applied Materials software (Simulation and other propriety applications) to develop models to automate the process of data analytics.
• Develop and implement models for cost, capacity, staffing and cycle time.
• Manage cost of ownership projects (CoO). Engage with customers to identifying and driving cost reduction, quantify the value of CIP’s and improvement projects, develop a CoO pareto with Year over Year targets and roadmap.

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE

• Regarded as the technical expert in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research in the semiconductor industry
• Demonstrates in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in Industrial Engineering and broad knowledge of semiconductor operations
• Direct experience with demonstrated success and financial results leading Six Sigma transactional & manufacturing projects
• Technical mastery of Six Sigma tools and methodologies including DMAIC, DFSS, and Lean

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Green Belt, Black Belt certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• As the account owner, represents the company to the customer and the customer to the company in all sales-oriented activities.
• Identifies customer needs and develops/implements sales strategies
• Calls on existing or new customer to present Applied product and services offerings; coordinates customer demonstrations with product business group representatives
• Communicate and present Applied Materials’ product roadmaps and capabilities to the customer, as well as communicating and presenting the customer’s technology needs to product business group representatives
• Prepares pricing quotes; negotiates to final price and submits documentation to book order.
• Conducts follow-up on accounts receivables

Requirements

• BS/MS's degree is required
• 5-15 years of working experience in the semiconductor industry
• Proven record in Account Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing, or any customer interfacing role
• Excellent presentation skills in English and Mandarin

Key Responsibilities

• Develops, aligns and implements commodity strategies.

• Negotiates and manages the maintenance of agreements with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.

• Engages with the PLC process to ensure alignment with the commodity strategies.

• Directs new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base.

• Drives resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time, which may include engagement with sub-tiers in the supply chain.

• Develops and presents high level cost reduction opportunities.

• Approves/final authority, delivers and manages Supplier Performance Improvement Plans.

Qualifications

• 10 years above experience in Semiconductors industry with equipment sourcing domain knowledge and Semiconductors product knowledge

• Must to have commercial negotiation capability

• Good English communication skill

• Travel rate: 20% (includes domestic and overseas, such as Thailand and Singapore)

• AGS AR management, included Shipping Without Billing (SWOB) and Billed Not GUI open AR management
• Performs OTC monthly, quarterly close activities
• Proactively communication with operation team and customers to resolve the AR collection issues
• Reviews MJEs and GL Blackline reconciliations prepared by IBM
• May assist with the interpretation of reports and records for managers. I.e. Balance Sheet Reviews, Blackline reporting/analysis, and other reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for business success from the technology point of view by management of install Base and new products Application Performance to drive Customer Satisfaction & Identify Business Risks. Responsible for managing the definition and implementation of processes and applications, to meet the customer’s current and future requirements for productivity and leading edge technology, using Applied Materials products. As the customer technology expert for at least one class of processes, guides technology development and transfer. Integrates customer technology requirements into internal product roadmap.
• Resolves complex field process issues utilizing systematic troubleshooting methodology. Create a mechanism to communicate issues and track progress.
