You will be responsible for full stack ML development in partnership with others on the team. This includes data generation and curation, creating and influencing ML tooling and infrastructure, driving evaluation efforts, and training or fine-tuning models. You will also be involved in directly integrating ML into internal tools and systems. You will need to rely on your creativity and problem solving to develop scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective solutions. The team values rapid iteration, based on bringing models into reality so stakeholders can play with cutting edge technology and research. To this end you will be engaged with hardware, software, and design teams across Apple; both representing the technology and implementing it into prototypes.
  • Industry experience with applied machine learning.
  • Industry experience in software engineering, data engineering, or similar.

Apple is looking for an Employee Relations Business Partner who will conduct sophisticated investigations, provide advice and direction regarding employee relations (ER) matters to executives, managers, and employees across the organization. Key objectives for this team include ensuring legal compliance and adherence to Apple policies is met in a consistent, objective and fair fashion. To meet these objectives, this recognized employee relations authority will partner closely with the People partners, management, Employee Relations Leaders, as well as Employment counsel in working sophisticated employee relations cases. • Handle complex investigations (i.e. advanced, high risk/profile, critical impact, numerous parties) • Advise and inform senior leaders/partners (e.g. the business, People, Legal) in investigating and resolving assigned cases • Address executive escalations as assigned • Conduct sophisticated Decision Reviews • Maintain accurate case entry practices • Own/participate in ER projects as assigned • Drive ER activity for business initiatives as assigned • Partner with ER Leaders to provide training and mentoring for ER Business Partners • Participate in calibration dialog to ensure consistency of practices
  • 10+ years ER experience
  • 7+ years experience leading investigation and resolution of sensitive and complicated employee relations issues
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment law and regulations
  • Superb communication skills including effective listening, clear and concise writing and presentation
  • Consistently exhibits levels of discretion, integrity and confidentiality
