As a power integrity engineer, you will be tasked with designing and evaluating the power delivery network (PDN) for Apple products, to ensure the power and electrical needs of the product are met. You’ll work in a high pressure environment and collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering, as well as other departments to ensure that power signal integrity is maintained for different aspects of product development. You’ll use a number of tools and technologies, such as LabVIEW, Hyperlynx, and SPICE, to analyze and model the power environment, and you’ll define circuit structures and materials to efficiently manage the PDN. You’ll also conduct device-level analysis to ensure power signal integrity and ensure that all Safety, Emissions, and Immunity regulation requirements are achieved. Furthermore, your expertise in power integrity will be put to the test when designing test methodologies to evaluate product performance in the field. You’ll use your problem-solving skills to develop evaluation processes and tooling while closely monitoring ongoing testing and identifying potential failure mechanisms. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent in experience, is a must.
