In this role, you will apply your electronics design skills to design, develop and test battery monitoring units and Battery management units (BMU) for next generation consumer electronic products. You will work with suppliers to develop custom parts where needed and design test methodologies to verify the battery management unit design!
- Design BMU from concept to mass production focusing on detailed board level design.- Push the boundaries of technologies to maximize performance and minimize volume.- Collaborate with multi-functional partners (Product Design, System EE, Cell Engineering, Firmware, Algorithms, etc.) to ensure the product is developed on time and on budget.- Conduct investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues.- Develop Schematics and BOMs to satisfy the design requirements.- Develop layout guidelines for PCBs and guides Layout Engineers to meet all physical and electrical requirements of BMU.- Specify custom parts and PCBs for use in BMUs.- Analyze the design with simulation tools and calculations to verify its conformance to the requirements.
