Export Control Requirement:
In this role, you’ll join Kuiper's Structural Integrity and Analysis team as a Liaison Engineer to innovate and solve engineering issues that arise during Kuiper production operations leading to every flight of our constellation of satellites. You will be working on the shop floor along side Manufacturing and Quality teams to develop engineering dispositions related to non-conformances. You will work hard, have fun, and make history!This Liaison Engineer must have Material Review Board (MRB) experience in aerospace programs, and must be able to understand the balance between engineering judgment versus analysis rigor and when each is appropriate.Key job responsibilities
- This position will work 2nd shift, 4:00pm-2:00am, 4 days a week (either front half Sunday-Wednesday or back half Wednesday-Saturday)
- Review and disposition non-conformance events of the spacecraft and its ground support equipment that may occur in all phases of the Kuiper operations: procurement, storage, handling, manufacturing, assembly, testing, transportation, final integration, launch and orbital operations;
- Develop standard repairs, rework procedures, propose design for manufacturing (DFM) improvements, improved processes and work instructions;
- Document static, dynamic and fatigue stress analyses when needed to support dispositions, interpreting established structural analysis reports;
- Develop analysis methods to address common structural non-conformances;
- Work with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering experts to provide root cause failure analyses;

- Bachelor's degree in engineering field, or equivalent experience;
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in a Liaison Engineer / Material Review Board (MRB) role with aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures

You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.You will be able to showcase your in-depth understanding of data center design, engineering, and operations of infrastructure common to data centers, telecommunications facilities and other critical environment infrastructure.Key job responsibilities
- Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
- Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
- Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
- Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
- Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.- Act as resident engineer during new construction projects. Support construction, commissioning, and turnover.A day in the life
Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for all aspects of the data centers. You will prioritize your activities to support data center capacity availability and safety focusing on the actions that are most impactful.
