You will provide thought leadership and recommendations on cloud architecture, migration, modernisation and operation. Build strong technical relationships acting as the voice of the customer internally to influence AWS service roadmaps.
Key job responsibilities- Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts).- Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organisation by interviewing candidates and having a voice in hiring decisions. You will also be helping others develop new skills by mentoring team members and identifying talent needs in the organisation.

The RoleAn AWS Technical Account Manager is a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for our Enterprise Support customers. As a trusted advisor you’ll have a direct impact in helping our customers gain the most value from cloud technology. You’ll craft and execute strategies to drive our customers’ adoption and use of AWS services. This includes a range of products including EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT and many more.
Our Technical Account Managers partner with some of the most iconic businesses in the country. These range from rising startups building their business from scratch through to large enterprises going through significant transformation. You’ll provide advice on architecture, support strategy, project and launch planning as well as ongoing operational issues.
Key job responsibilities
* You’ll advise on solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer
* Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity
* Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
* Using your technical acumen and customer obsession, you’ll drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
* Consult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives
* Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
* With a bias for action, you'll proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
* Provide detailed reviews of service events, monthly & quarterly metrics, detailed pre-launch planning

- Professional experience with cloud offerings such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform etc.
- Programming or scripting skills with a combination of Java, Python Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP a plus but not a requirement

3+ years of technical engineering experience

Key job responsibilities
- Partner with PM teams on product requirements
- Manage and drive vendors for project finalization
- Generate functional prototypes and to be hands on it
- Clearly and concisely express and document ideas, issues, test results, etc.
- Develop documentation to transfer to vendors (CAD, detailed drawings, optical simulations, and etc.).

- BS/MS in Mechanical/Optical Engineering
- Extensive industry design experience
- Experience in consumer electronics products development, plastic / diecast / sheet metal parts design
- Experience with optical-related designs like camera lens implementation, illumination and etc.
- Experience with thermodynamics, especially for consumer or computer hardware.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for metals and the commonly used plastics
- Quick prototyping skills
- GD&T based on ISO or ASME standard.
- Must have a strong work ethic and good written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced CAD user (Creo/SolidWorks )
- Experienced PLM system user
- Good written and spoken English

Ability to interpret simulation results, such as thermal, optical & deformation analysis
