Flagship Senior Visual Merchandising Manager

As our
Senior Visual Merchandising Managerat adidas, you’ll manage one of the most globally important stores for our brand, based on the iconic Oxford Street, London.

You’ll need to be a proven people manager, inheriting a team of 4 direct reports, with a total team of 8. Stakeholder engagement is also a focus for you, managing relationships at all levels.

  • We need a true people leader, who can inspire, motivate and set clear goals for our VM team, if you’re not passionate about people, this might not be the role for you
  • There’ll also be support for planning / coordinating VM activities outside of the Flagship eg showroom resets, events, store openings or and store remodels.

What you’ll do:

  • You’ll take ownership of managing an extremely high-performing team of Visual Merchandisers to deliver an amazing consumer journey through VM and Styling, all with the aim of bringing our Brand to life & converting consumers at the point of purchase.
  • You’ll lead the Visual Merchandising team to deliver the business strategic plan and contribute to our commercial targets
  • Execute the Visual Merchandising standards according to the VM calendar
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure we’re adopting the correct use, implementation & presentation of product packages, store fittings, in-store communication material, campaigns and VM tools.
  • Influence and negotiate with all key business partners for all VM subjects, considering key product launches, ensuring consistency within best practice guidelines to provide a leading brand experience for all customers.
  • Develop best practice, standards and operational plans to support the implementation of Visual Merchandising standards and guidelines.
  • Leverage tools and programs for planning of existing or new stores or brand spaces (e.g. stocking and space planning tools).

JOB PURPOSE

Assist management in day-to-day store maintenance while providing excellent service and observing and maintaining all store policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Attain proficiency with the point-of-sale system by acquiring system utilization skills. Ensure integrity is maintained through attention to policy and procedure.
  • Uses selling techniques such as add on sales and describing technical information to customers to enhance salesmanship and reach store and position sales goals.
  • Greets customers in the store and assists them in finding the right product. Occasionally, serves primarily as a Greeter at the front door during busy workdays.

  • Drive the successful sell-in process (from Category input, over pre-lines to sell-in meetings of identified strategic accounts)
  • Develop relevant distribution and segmentation strategies to successfully manage key franchises in the zone (MRA tiering, Allocation)
  • Use available market data to build dedicated product division plans (e.g. NPD data, Share of Search, market insights, sales data)
  • Maintain regular analytics on the sell-in and sell-through performance of respective category (analytical support from Finance team)
