What you'll do...

Associate Experience is a subgroup within Walmart's Intelligent Store Tech (IST) organization. IST is responsible for developing products that enhance the checkout experience for our customers in our stores. As a member of the Associate Experience group, your primary focus will be on creating tools that empower our associates to better serve customers at the checkout lanes. Our group is dedicated to building products that enable associates to assist customers effectively throughout the entire checkout process. We achieve this by utilizing open-source technology to build software that sits on a solid foundation of our platform architecture, which is being constructed from the ground up.

What you’ll do:

  • Provides technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in solution design, architecture, and development of software solutions for our Associates/Customers , ensure alignment with the IST Architecture vision .

  • To design, develop and lead Business or technology driven projects with small to medium sized teams supporting new functionalities and user experiences.

  • Design and develop in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects.

  • Full stack development using multiple technologies like React JS, React Native, Java, Spring, Kubernetes, NoSQL, Kafka and other such tools/frameworks

  • Maintain an unwavering focus on Observability and ensures everything can be measured.

  • Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues.

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with building complex archite ctures

  • Experience working with micro-services architecture and distributed systems.

  • Passionate about reviewing code, familiarity with Automation Tools and strong customer focus / obsession with quality.

  • Proficiency in back-end technologies and experience in developing APIs using Java, Spring Boot.

  • Proficiency in front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS or React Native .

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologie s .

  • Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: - Stock Minimum Qualifications...
