Key job responsibilities
- Use of precision tool, machinery and equipment such as lathe, mills, drill press, chop saw, band saw, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
- Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines.
- Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality of productions. Reports all machine malfunctions to Management.
- Communicates with management, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
- Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
- Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines.
- Experience with a variety of materials (aluminum, stainless steels, titanium and nickel based alloys) a plus
- Capable of lifting/moving 30-50 lbsExport Control Requirement:
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.A day in the lifeRedmond, WA, USA
- 3+ years of machine shop experience
- 3+ years of experience with manual machining operations
- 3+ years experience machining tight-tolerance, high-value components
- Demonstrated analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management System
- Forklift experience
