Responsibilities and duties:
- Required finance professional with 16+ years of cross functional experience in Insurance Business covering entire spectrum of R2R, AP, AR involving various accounting operations, GL close, Global Analytics, , External reporting.
- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, assist in the preparation of presentations that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made.
- Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents throughout the month for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with general accounting principles and established internal control policies and procedures.
- Partner with stakeholders across Divisional Financial Operations to improve financial and accounting accuracy.
- Exposure to any Accounting Changes Transformation & Future of Finance-Journey Mapping
- Inquisitive about the potential that emerging technologies offer and passionate about defining an effective and sustainable framework that delivers a positive and lasting impact on people and organizations.
- Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans, Monitor the financial performance of the company.
- Compile and analyse financial reporting packages, Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets.
- Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
- Communicate financial metrics to senior management, provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
- Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel, keep up to date on current trends.

To qualify for the role, you must have.
- Master’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline such as accounting designation (CA ,CMA, ACCA or CPA ), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
- Minimum 10 years in Life Insurance accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role with at least 5 years’ experience in Life Insurance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Proficiency in MS – Excel, MS – Office.
- Experience in Life Insurance and preferably Big4 from consulting firms.
