- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline preferred.

- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of engineering team management experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire in a hands-on fashion.
- Must have built and led a high performing team that delivered extraordinary services.
- Must be capable of taking on a business ownership role, and be able to ramp up quickly and operate independently.
- Preferred to have one or more significant technical inventions (not necessarily patents).
- Technical expertise in software development, networking/infrastructure and distributed systems is required.
