The Opportunity:
We, at Flywire, are looking for an experienced QA Engineer I ideally with a background in
FinTech. The Quality Assurance team at Flywire is a group of engineers dedicated to improving
the productivity of engineering and quality of services in Flywire. We focus on adding value to
Flywire’s engineering by providing a diverse array of sustainable tools and processes. Our
scope of service to other teams does not just involve writing tests because our focus is on
facilitating tools and processes to boost productivity. Thus, a commitment to collaborative
problem solving, design, and building quality products is essential.
● Understand requirements and user stories as a whole for risk-based testing
● Detect and solve production issues and bugs within the development environment
beyond your current scope
● Investigate test failures in production, identify design flaws, and suggest potential
solutions
● Write clean, high quality, secure, maintainable and extendable tests
● Lean into our business domain and needs as well as our company vision, mission and
strategy to deliver on our short and long term goals
● Bring fresh ideas to the team and analyze emerging test tools, trends and methodologies
and enhance existing systems and processes
● Mentor team members and drive initiatives
● Identify opportunities both in processes and tools to improve the overall productivity of
the team
● 5+ years of experience in web application development or quality assurance
● Knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: Javascript, Java
and scripting skills in Shell
● Familiar with RESTful web service principles and using HTTP clients (Postman,
HTTParty, Rest-assured, Request)
● Hands-on experience with Continuous Delivery technology and practices as well as
containerization technologies like Docker
● Experience working on a mature software product where availability and performance
are key
● Understanding of performance testing concepts and tools
● Experience in code quality metrics and tools as well as building test automation
frameworks
● Understanding of software quality principles and agile development practices
● A passion for learning and contributing to the development of others
● Fluency in English, as it is the company’s working language
● Experience in FinTech or the payment industry will be appreciated
● Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with
cross functional teams including product and support
● Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000-$130,000 plus restricted stock units and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, position level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and several other factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training.

Develop and maintain sanctions systems, understanding their operations and alignment with the sanctions risk appetite.
Drive sanctions screening re-calibration.
Define and drive sanctions screening requirements in collaboration with the product management team.
Assist the business in identifying and understanding Sanctions risk exposures.
Analyze business data to identify trends and assess potential Sanctions risks.
Review escalations from ongoing screening processes for Sanctions nexus.
Qualifications:
2+ years of compliance experience in fin-tech, start-ups, technology, or emerging financial services, 5+ Sanctions program experience.
Material experience with sanctions screening tool requirements, testing, calibration, and documentation.
Knowledge and experience with OFAC and non-US Sanctions laws, regulations, and compliance requirements (including reporting and record retention).
Strong organizational skills with project management experience.
