Hardware Engineering Technician Duties
Assist engineers in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting hardware components, systems, and prototypes.
Perform diagnostics and repair of hardware equipment, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
Conduct fine-pitch soldering and rework of electronic components for prototyping, assembly modifications, and repairs.
Conduct quality control checks on hardware components to meet performance and safety standards.
Document test results, assembly procedures, and maintenance records in an organized and detailed manner.

Shipping/Receiving Duties

Manage outgoing shipments by preparing, packaging, and labeling items according to company and carrier standards.
Process shipping and receiving documentation in coordination with the operations or logistics team.
Maintain inventory organization for hardware components and engineering supplies in the warehouse or stockroom.
Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics and resolve any shipment-related issues.
Track incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintain accurate inventory records using software or ERP systems.
Qualifications:
Proficiency with fine-pitch soldering and rework of electronic components.
Experience with hardware assembly, testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.), and troubleshooting tools.
Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems, schematics, and technical drawings.
Ethernet networking experience is desired.
Knowledge of inventory management software and shipping tools (e.g., FedEx, UPS, or freight systems).
Associate’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hardware engineering, manufacturing, or logistics role.
Forklift certification (optional but preferred for shipping/receiving tasks).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
The ability to multitask and balance hardware engineering and logistics tasks effectively.
Physical ability to lift, move, and package items up to [weight threshold, e.g., 40 lbs].
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
Experience with CAD software and test automation tools (preferred for engineering tasks).
Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or other ERP platforms).
Work Environment:
This role will be split between an engineering lab, warehouse facility, and potentially office spaces.
The candidate may be required to work around machinery, tools, and hardware testing equipment, as well as lift and move packages as part of shipping/receiving duties. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be adhered to when required.

Training for this position will take place Monday through Friday, following an 8-hour day shift schedule, until the second quarter of 2026. After that, the schedule will transition to a 12-hour night shift on a 2-2-3-2 rotation, running from 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM.
