Conducts routine to complex research and investigations in diversified operations to support compliance operations directed by internal bank policies and required adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements which can involve high penalties and fines for non-compliance. Executes against regulatory, BSA/anti-money laundering, and economic sanctions compliance practices relevant to the specialist’s specific area of responsibility with sufficient expertise and or experience to require some direction, but little day-to-day guidance from the specialist's manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors team metrics and works with leadership to track progress towards objectives and ensure goals are met
  • Demonstrates process expertise and provides support to leadership, employees, and business partner by implementing process improvements to address and resolve issues
  • Assists in the identification, escalation, and mitigation of potential risks and issues
  • Applies knowledge of business processes to identify opportunities for simplification and efficiencies
  • Supports the enhancement of quality service and ensures effective and efficient operations support is in place for the assigned area's internal business partners and external clients
  • Collaborates with Change Managers, Technology, and other business partners to support system enhancements and special projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in high volume production operational environment
  • Previous AML and/or KYC experience
  • Flexibility to work weekends as needed
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills – ability to drive root cause analysis, focus on details, identify issues, prioritize quickly and recommend solutions.
  • Research analysis with the ability to gather, prepare and present findings with business partners, as needed.
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Intermediate level in various MS tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint (a plus).
  • Strong written & oral communication and presentation skills; able to target messaging to different audiences; provide consolidated data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Attention to detail & strong organizational skills.
  • Able to prioritize daily work to meet deadlines and goals.
  • Demonstrates a good working knowledge of processes and adherence to procedures.
  • Capability to work effectively in a team environment & ability to multitask.

Cultivating and leading a team by encouraging and implementing cross training activities, cooperation, innovation, flexibility and teamwork. Scheduling work priorities consistent with engineering directives, coordinating maintenance activities, allocating work assignments, communicating expectations and monitoring workflow. Providing coaching and feedback to employees and utilizing corrective action to resolve conflict and inappropriate behaviors.
  • Training employees on all aspects of the Cottage Grove operations and processes. Providing employees with proper tools, equipment and information including any changes that may affect their work. Ensuring a safe work environment by reviewing production processes, OSHA requirements, and recognizing and resolving safety-related problems. Ensuring employees receive training as specified and maintaining certification and training requirements. Providing effective communication to employees through crew meetings, electronic mail, and 1:1 coaching session. Completing housekeeping audits and job safety analysis on a regular basis.
  • Utilizing available resources to resolve process, maintenance, equipment and/or related technical problems. Monitoring and remediating process equipment downtime while maintaining safe operating limits. Analyzing and interpreting statistical data and charts to identify trends and determine improvement plans. Communicating and following-up on safety, productivity, quality, and maintenance concerns with appropriate staff. Generating work requests and entering incident reports in accordance with established procedures.
  • Implementing advanced working knowledge and interpretation of corporate and site policies and procedures. Ensuring shift administrative activities such as time reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime, etc. are properly implemented and documented. Participating in assigned team functions and projects. Understanding of DOT and Hazardous Material Regulations.
  • Being an active member and participating in site Emergency E-squad activities.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of two (2) years of combined experience working in a manufacturing or production environment in a private, public, government or military setting.

OR

  • High School diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of four (4) years of combined experience working in a manufacturing or production environment in a private, public, government or military setting.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
