The technology specialist role is a key member of the Expoint team, focused on developing solutions to ensure our clients have the most modern and up-to-date technology solutions available. The technology specialist must be knowledgeable in software and hardware, possess excellent problem-solving skills and have an innovative mindset.
The primary responsibility of the technology specialist is to design, develop and maintain comprehensive solutions. This includes providing timely solutions to service disruptions or malfunctions, developing new solutions that meet customers’ needs, and proactive maintenance to prevent technical issues. The technology specialist will establish documentation systems, troubleshoot potential issues, evaluate current systems and suggest improvements.
Additionally, the technology specialist must have the ability to create, maintain and execute technology standards, make recommendations to customers based on their specific needs and have knowledge of applicable software, such as Microsoft Office, SQL, Java and C++.
The technology specialist must have excellent communication and collaboration skills, be highly organized and must have the ability to quickly analyze technical solutions and effectively communicate solutions with both customers and fellow team members. In addition to strong technical skills, the technology specialist must be able to prioritize, manage time and work well with others.
An ideal candidate for this role will have a degree in engineering, computer science or another related field, as well as a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technology-oriented environment. This position requires an understanding of customer needs and the ability to develop effective solutions.
